All those that have held onto Buddy – myself included – will be praying for the big fella to make a return this week.
If he doesn’t get up though, who should coaches be considering to replace him with? Lay out some Premium, Midpricer and Value options.

Pav — Is avg 137.85 ppg since coming off the bye back in R12 (when PA picked him up
#justsayin), priced at a redonkulous $636K is he’s only downfall though. Get him in if you’ve got the cash.

Will he get a game by the MRP?
Head contact, off the ball, un-intentional ………… looks like a week

Premiums:
Dayne Beams ($616,900, 116, 137): Sure his breakeven might be a daunting (for some) 137, but considering the walking sketchpad has gone 144, 109, 162 and 137 in his last four outings, and a total of 9 scores for the year of 120+, can you really afford not to have him??
Cyril Rioli ($571,800, 103, 103): Came into season 2012 with question marks over his hamstrings and his consistency but has definitely answered the critics this year. Has played every game this season and has averaged 117 over his past 9 games. Increased midfield time has helped his output too. Not too late to jump on board with a couple of easy games coming up (Port and GC)!
Matthew Pavlich ($636.600, 112, 115): Back to playing predominately as a key forward, Captain Pav has been in some cracking form of late. After bottoming out at a paltry $478,700 back in round 10, Pav has gone BANG, BANG, BANG, and so on and so forth, with scores of 93, 99, 117, 113, 175, 113, 160, 108, 179 in his past 9 to be the premier forward of the competition and have one hand on the Coleman. Did I mention that he plays Melbourne in the SC grand final??
Midpricers:
Steele Sidebottom ($491,400, 109, 80): After a stellar start to the season, and being one of the value picks of the year, old mate Rusty let his scores slowly taper off, failing to crack the ton in a month of football. As they say, you can’t keep a good man down and true to form, he’s fired back in his past two with scores of 109 and 121. Has a reasonably tough run home but faces the rabble that is Essendon in the SC grand final. Worth a look if you aren’t one of the 31% of teams that have him already.
Tom Hawkins ($522, 200, 97, 48): Ok so he’s not exactly a mid pricer at 500k+ but how can he not get a mention after his performance on the weekend? With a 3 round average of 140 and 2 of his last 4 games down at the cattery, you could do a lot worse than to pick up the Tomahawk!
Taylor Walker ($449,100, 95, 110): Having somewhat of a breakout year, and an ongoing bad hair day, Walker has been an ultra consistent performer for the crows in 2012. Sure he’s had a couple of stinkers (39 &24) but if you take away those scores, he’s only failed to ton up 3 times and scored 8 centuries, he’s averaging a mighty respectable 106. A great POD too as he’s only owned by 6% of teams.
Value Picks:
No real standouts here but if you’re desperate, consider the following:
Joshua Walker ($176,100, 49, 17): Got a taste once the J-pod went down and managed to hold his spot this week after the J-pod returned as a backup ruckman. Looks to have the goods but not sure of his JS once Trent West gets back in
Levi Casboult ($137,400, 42, 0): Don’t know much about this kid but at least he’s currently getting a game right? Carlton will probably be keen to have a look at a few of the kids for the remainder of the year.
Scott Gumbleton ($220, 000, 61, 34): If you like your forwards injury prone then here’s your man. After a promising start against the Power, he’s tapered off a little bit since (so have his teammates). At least he’s strung together 4 games in a row though and not done a back related hamstring related, bicep related turf toe injury. I told you it was slim pickings, don’t touch with a ten foot pole!

Great work Razor Ray, loving it. Only other I could’ve suggested was Good ‘Ol Dangermouse, but otherwise I am in awe of how good your write-up was!:-)

Stevie ‘The Magician’ Johnson: He is cheap at 472k, racked up a 107 and the Cats fight for the 8, and maybe even the 4, should bring the best out of Stevie J
Hot debate. What do you think?

I’d like to give a big shout out to Jarryd Roughead. He just keeps getting consistently great scores and has really stepped it up this year. Great job mate!

I will definitely be bringing him in next year!
Also, I was choosing between Roughy and Hale last week – went with Hale to save a bit of cash… Chose the right bloke (at least for this week)!
