Think I’m the only one left with Giles, I’ll move him on eventually but not this week

Does anyone know how Hamish McIntosh went in the 2′s and when/if he’ll be joining the Kangas again?

Did some research Rick and this is what i came up with.

He didn’t play on the weekend!!

Reason:
Werribee had a Thursday night Foxtel Cup Final vs Claremont in Claremont. My assumption is that North didn’t want to send Big H over to WA in case Goldy got injured and Big H was needed to play the Doggies on Saturday.

Werribee reserves had a bye on the weekend so he couldn’t get a gig there either.

On his North prospects, i think Brad Scott would be really reluctant to mess with what’s working at the moment. Petrie, Tarrant and Hansen is working as a fwd trio, Goldy one out in the ruck is working (i noticed on Saturday that they’re giving him small bursts of rest on the bench but he’s back on to compete at every centre square ball up). Plus Thompson and Grima are working down back as the key talls.

Big H, Delaney x2, Pedersen, Edwards … they’re all going to have to wait no matter how good their form is in the reserves.

Hey RB, There is one loop hole, if the Roos win again (or two) they will be get a top 8 berth. Now Goldy has carried a big work load (and as i have him) I’m quite worried Scott will give him a rest to recharge, and see is H can get some form pre-finals as back-up for Goldy.

I hear you Big Sexy but i hope you’re wrong cause i think it’s a bad idea for North to do that.

Good call RB. Reckon they might be keen to give Hmac at least one run at AFL level even if they don’t plan on playing him come finals. I think the Hawks are doing a similar thing with Bailey & Hale.

McIntosh gone for year getting LARS surgery. Hopefully he can get back for next year, great footballer. Relief for us Goldstein owners looks like the gamble has paid off.

Cheers RB. Lets hope Goldy can stay on the park on his own. When he shares the ruck his scores are dismal

Massive kudos to Giles over the last two weeks. I’d decided to to hold him prepared to wear some lower scores rather than trade ‘again’ with the fragile rucks this season. He has not only held his own, he’s been setting the bench mark. Giles is not going anywhere from my team if he stays in the GWS team, and given Bogan has retired, he’s not getting dropped unless major injury strikes (touch wood).

Mumford @ $395,800 is very nicely priced if looking for a premo ruckmen on the cheap. With a BE of 77 it’s the last time you’ll see him under $400K and he scored 110 on the weekend too. While the Swans draw is tough Coll (H), WB (A), Haw (H), Geel (A), IMO none of these teams have dominant ruck divisions and whilst the Swans record may range from 4-0 to 1-3 across this stretch of games, Mumford should be able to win a fair share of the hit outs and score 100+s. He’s had his rest two weeks ago and the Swans will be loath to rest him again so close to finals.

That said, i’ve got him and he’s a handy differential so don’t pick him ;) . More people have Sam Rowe in their team cause of his DPP status to allow Hale and/or Roughy to swing between lines than people that have Mumford!!

Um no, as a geelong fan I can say with absolute confidence that our ruck department is the worst in the afl and will be for at least another year as west and vardy (when he comes back) develop.

I currently have Ryder on the bench with injury and Giles smashing it on the field with Nic Nat. What do I do when Ryder comes back this week????

Depends what your other lines look like Juddy. Giles at 400Kish and negative break even. Could be a super downgrade in the coming weeks. In all honesty I’d be holding as long as possible. Ryder coming back from injury and whispers that NicNat’s back has gone ping. If you need the cash right now wait for the teams and flick whichever one doesn’t get named.

That would be great except I only have 1 trade left. “Break in Case of Emergency (LTI/General in the final)”

No specific categories, but I’ve been really happy with the relative consistency of:

- Roughead … Averaging 105, only missed 1 game (Rnd 1), and ULTRA consistent (lowest score of 88)). With a reasonable run home, if you want to lock in a 100 each week … he’s your man!!!

- Naitanui … Yes he missed a couple of games, but he’s averaging 110, and only had 1 real ordinary game. Relatively good consistency, but can also go BANG on the right day.

- Jacobs … Based solely on his recent form (and his FANTASTIC run home) … he’s gotta be in everyone’s considerations. Check this run home:
— Fremantle (at home, with no Sandilands)
— Brisbane
— Melbourne
— Gold Coast
WOWEE!!!!!

Crows will rest players of they win their next 2.
This was spelled out by Sanderson around the byes.
I’m staying away from crows players, and I’m worried that I may lose danger and Thompson at some point for a ‘general soreness’ week off.

Everyone,
I’m struggling. Have held onto Macintosh as I haven’t needed to trade him out. Want to free up some cash and spend less than $500k on a ruck to replace him.

I’m tossing up between Hale / Minson / Giles / Bellchambers / Mumford?

Only 2 hours until lockout…any thoughts?
