Motts Movers R22 – The Forwards

Written by Motts on August 25 2011

Righto, last Movers post for the week. Of the boys up front, who’s been kicking goals for your team? And who’s kicked it out on the full?

  4. Yarran, scored his 8th ton for the season on the w/e. Started the season badly to say the least but has found his feet and has been a nice POD this year for me.

  6. Guys, would appreciate a little advice….
    1 trade left, Sylvia OUT, cash not an issue – can afford everyone.
    Considering all the obvious candidates: S.Johnson, Leon, Chappy, Cloke, Cyril, but i think i have narrowed it down between Stevie J and Cyril, but cant split em. So if you please…

    Thumbs up – Steve Johnson
    Thumbs down – Cyril

    Please help! Thank you

  7. i think that the general consensus is that if you have to cash go Rioli as he is a proven scorer and could whip out a 160 vs the gold coast

  8. Everybody seems very keen on Cyril. I’m skeptical. His last 3 weeks have been 75, 175, 83, which is a good average, but with two scores that you wouldn’t want from a premium in an elimination final.

    Also, he has played his final two opponents earlier this season and scored:

    84 vs Bulldogs – Tagged out of the game by Picken (18 touches, 1 goal) despite the Hawks five goal win and;

    85 vs GCS – Got Harbrow, but still only managed 17 touches and 2 goals despite the Hawks 12 goal win.

    *On a side note it is kind of funny though that he owned the Dogs in the two games that they played in 2010 when Harbrow went to him on both occasions…

    My point is though, that while he has an extremely high ceiling, there is every chance that you could end up blaming your exit from the final squarely on the shoulders of an under-performing Junior. I would have thought that someone such as Fyfe, who has averaged more for the season, only costs $2k more and churned out a 129 against his GF opponent Bulldogs earlier in the year would have been a better bet…
