Motts Movers R4 2012 – The Rucks

Written by Motts on April 27 2012

Just a quick one this week:

Premiums

Aaron Sandilands ($609,500, 123.25, 139) – Even though he’s out this week I couldn’t overlook his first 4 performances for the year: 113, 149, 110, 121. Don’t you forget about me.

Nic Naitanui – ($517,300, 106.00, 111) – And while we’re out west, run the specs over these 4 outings: 105, 116, 101, 102. I believe I can fly.

Midpricers

Hamish McIntosh ($432,300, 98.00, 57) – Still great value. Tie me Kangaroo down sport.

Ivan Maric ($382,100, 90.75, 34) – 97, 68, 94, 104. Sexy and I know it.

Value Picks

Jonathon Giles ($281,300, 93.75, -16) – THE rookie pick of 2012. Down, down prices are down.

Toyed with the idea of putting James Sellar ($231,200, 47.33, 44) in here but simply can’t recommend him with that average. Just gonna have to sit tight with the one Value Pick this week.

  1. McCauley might be a value pick if he gets a few runs. Named on extended bench this week. Hale no good?

  2. I think Cox should be a “Motts Mover” as his price is moving quickly – I just wish it were in a different direction.

  3. unrelated – but I am sure someone will help..

is it worth me trading OUT T Ledger and getting Treloar in?

Treloar about to play 3rd game, PLUS he is DPP and I (stupidly) dont have a DPP in my midfield, so getting him in will free things up with a few other DPP i have

  4. Lions Billy Longer might be the only other ruck rookie worth considering this year once he gets more games.

Scored 85pts in his first game (against Sandilands no less) & been named as an emergency for a few times now. You would think with Leunberger injured and Ben Hudson being a 1000 yrs old that he’ll hafta play again sometime this season.

  5. Who would have thought way back in the pre season that there would be any chance of getting a doughnut in the rucks!!!

All those options and now here I am with a big fat O unless the other big o gets the nod.

    Nic Nat – thumbs down

  7. same situation highway, have cox mummy n giles. was thinking going nic nat, but will he be up there end of year as a big scoring ruck, if not i’d be looking to get in one that is scoring high e.g. mummy if he’s back to his ways injury free! which would mean 2 trades wasted.. h mac on the other hand or even some1 like maric sure wont be the big scorers but will be getting consistent scores that u can work with and pocket some good cash at the same time. and be able to put that into other places in the team.
which leaves the option of sticking mummy on the bench with giles to cover him for a few weeks, which isnt a negative as giles is killing it for a rookie and HOPE that when/if mummy gets back he’s back in high SC scoring form!

  8. I think the best I can make of this mummy dilemma is to trade roughy into the rucks for the mean time and swing him forward later in the year. Hopefully by then mummy will be back to his best. And I can drop Him and Cox/Sandi in after the byes. I hate making trades this early in the year.

    Next question

    Treloar thumbs up
    Old Mac thumbs down.

  9. The Ruck decision is killing me, please someone tell me what to do? I have the Mumford, Giles, Redden, Big O ruck combination so Mummy has to go but who for:

    Kreuzer – Thumbs up
    Roughead – Thumbs down

    Comment for Nic Nat
    Cheers
