Motts Movers R5, 2013 – The Mids

Written by Motts on May 3 2013

Ok last one for the week. Lots to choose from here so I’m expecting some great picks.

Give me 1 Premium (>$500k), 1 Midpricer ($200k-$500k), and 1 Rookie (<$200k). And to all those who've helped out this week while I've been away, thank you so much!

  1. Let the Pommy sneak in with his effort, before you all get out of bed 🙂

Premium (without going for the obvious Gaz who’s price appears to have bottomed out, if you don’t have him, grab him now or don’t bother logging back into your team for the rest of the year)

    Dane Swan ($638,600 127 63)
After 103 against Carlton, followed by a 91 in round 3 it’s could be the lowest Dane Swans price will get this year. A break even of just 63 will see him move in only one direction. The longer you wait the more you will pay for this must have player.

    Midpricer
Brent Maloney ($456,300 103 50) Having gone up by $93,900 already, you may be thinking you have missed the boat with Maloney, but with a break even of just 50 and averaging over 100, i see plenty of value left in him yet.

Rookie ( doesn’t seem to be too much to choose from)
Josh Thomas ($115,900 57 -49) With a negative BE and selected to play his third game of the season this week, if you need to downgrade to make some cash, Josh could be a quick fix. (just keep an eye out incase he end’s up with the vest)

  2. I’m trading either Neade or Dwyer into Birchall this week (Goodes to Mids), but can’t decide which
    Thumbs up for Neade
    Thumbs down for Dwyer

  3. Can Crowley hold Gaz to less than 25 pozzies this week? I’m hoping his price falls even further to get him next week!

  4. Anyone hearing on twitter or around the traps that Watson may be rested v the Witches Hats tomorrow. I don’t take much for gospel truth when Shane Crawford & Supercoach are in the same breath……

  5. I heard from John Singleton’s bookie that Gai got some info from an old jockey that some sports scientist with a syringe full of horse potions said Jobe is fit and strong ‘just like the Hulk’.

That sounds good enough to me. He’s playing!!!

  6. PREMIUM: Tiger captain Trent Cotchin continues to lead by example with an average of 129 over his last three games and 125 avg for the season. His last game was a massive 144 v Freo at the house of pain. He just keeps getting better!

MIDPRICERS: Brent Moloney is the obvious choice here but another option gaining momentum is David Zaharakis. Has scored 74, 99 and 140 in his last three … who knows what heights he will reach this week v GWS.

CHEAPIE: At $189K with a three game average of 79, M.Evans is worth a look. Although he has had his first price rise there is still plenty of increase to come. Jump on if you are a looking for a cheap midfielder.

  7. Sierokowski is playing his first game for the Kangaroos, a mature age recruit who should play in the golden half back position, risky as its only his first game but could be a downgrade option amongst all the back line carnage.
