Motts Movers R5 – The Rucks

Written by Motts on May 1 2013

The rucks. Not as easy to write because a) there’s not as many of them and b) there’s even less good ones!

Has any ruckman turned your dials lately? Got some different priced options for our avid readers?

  1. Premium: Hard to look past Will Minson.
Midprice: Gotta be Luey. Nuff said
Budget: Gawn on the bubble with a -98 breakeven. Time to trade blicavs out, unless you are bleeding donuts from both ends of the field.

  3. Premium:
    Dean “Hairy” Cox ($623,000 $+600 ($+22,300), 117.20, 148)
Cox averages 158 in his last 3 games against the Dogs, scoring a massive 213 back in 2011.
    Midpricer:
    Tom “Maid” Bellchambers ($460,200, +$1,100, 95.20, 50)
The Maid should clean up against the Gaints this week 😉 , nice POD too.
    Rookie:
Jack “The Sack” Hannath ($109,500, 56)
The Sack made his debut last week against the Tiges and took a telling mark late in the last to help Freo get home.

  4. I went out on a limb and started with Lewy and ZSmith… It allowed me to put Cox in the Fwd line and finally paid off this week!

  5. I’ll have a crack…

Premium: Benny McEvoy, Flying under the radar in only 4% of teams. Averaging 113 and the second highest scoring ruck this year. Hasn’t dropped below 90 this year and had two scores of 130+

Mid: Jon Griffin, Averaging 100 this year with no Sandi he’s holding down the number 1 ruck role. Proven he can score well against good ruck opposition, mashed out 123 against Big Ivan last week and 116 against cox round 1. Huge POD only in 2.5% of teams (including mine 😉 ) scored 166 against the Suns a couple of years ago.

Rookie: Max Gawn, on the bubble this week with a negative BE, a trade down option to consider after scores of 97 and 66.

  6. Shooter loves Will Tonneson! 2 possies at 1/4 time vs the cats – 34sc points. The past 2 weeks he has had scores in the 90’s scaled up to 100’s. Supercoach loves this cult hero and so does Shooter McGavin. Bang Bang!
