Motts Movers R6 – The Mids

Written by Motts on May 4 2010

Running a little short on time tonight so I’m just going to highlight the names and the stats. Starting with the champs:

K Jack ($449,200, $+45,900 ($+93,800), 95.00)

S Wellingham ($449,200, $+45,900 ($+93,800), 98.00)

D Cross ($505,900, $-19,300 ($-43,600), 107.83)

And now for the chumps:

J Lewis ($384,400, $-13,700 ($-103,700), 72.00)

C Ling ($359,000, $-17,000 ($-58,900), 68.67)

B McLean ($336,900, $-49,800 ($-88,900), 67.20)

Sorry for the briefness of the report. I’ve got a conference call with Bomber in half an hour on what to do about Bottens and provide some advice on whether he did the right thing by not sanctioning GAJ and I need to prepare.

  1. Seems to be so many second-tier Swannies hitting their straps this year – Jack, Hanneberry, Grundy, Malceski. Geez, even LRT is looking solid. Wonder if their form will be permanent.

  2. Sorry Motts, but one major omish is Daniel Wells. Going gangbusters at the moment ($485,400, $28,200 ($123,500), 98.83). His scores have been 60, 60, 132, 114, 114, 113.

I know he looks likely every year, but this year his contract is up for renewal. Only in 4% of teams too!

  3. What about Jude Bolton got knock out twice last week and still scored 116 ($545,500, +$5.700, (+ 3,500) and only 0.65% in all teams.

  4. McLean is overated. He was a good player in a bad team at the Dees, and even then didn’t do the scoring he should of (except maybe 2008). He’ll only score big if the blues can win by big margins, and lets face it, they don’t have the forward line to blow teams away all that often.

    I’d steer well clear.

  5. Should have posted in the Def Movers but hey – need your help so forgive me.
Considering sideways from Goodwin to Bower. Usually my first SC rule is not to trade out a premium unless LTI however given the Crow’s form and structure (Goody is now getting a defensive tag) I think this may be an acceptable exclusion from the rule
Traded Pav out at this time last year for just about the exact same reasons only to see him bounce back although he’s not 33YO.
    All input welcome tks.

  7. Hey Motts, I was trawling through the archives before and was wondering about the history of this site. Was last year its first? Cos I noticed the scarcity of responses by readers compared to this year.
