Motts Movers R16 – The Mids

Written by Motts on July 12 2011

Thrillers

Nick Dal Santo ($531,200, 174, 117.00, 58) – Has averaged 149 in his last 3 games. Noice.

Luke Hodge ($498,700, 163, 108.57, 43) – Back to his devastating best. Bye this week.

Ryan Griffen ($522,800, 111, 114.60, 110) – Finally achieving his potential.

Honourable mentions: Pendles, Dane Swan, Hamish Hartlett (155 last week??), Sammy Mitchell, Tom Rockliff, Simon Black, Brent Stanton, Matt Priddis, and Jack Redden.

Chillers

Dustin Martin – hasn’t scored above 68 in his last 3.

Brent Harvey – probably being a little harsh on Boomer but he hasn’t scored a ton in 3 outings and has lost $43k over the last 2 weeks. At least now we know why.

Shaun Grigg – nothing over 75 in his last 4.

Drillers

Heath Hocking ($383,400, 113, 85.83, 35) – 3 tons (and a ripping hanger) on the trot.

Adam Cooney ($391,300, 91, 83.82, 60) – back to his Brownlow best.

Jimmy Bartel ($348,800, 112, 98.93, 51) – $350k for a bloke with a 100 average?? Reckon there could be a few Harvey -> Bartel trades this week.

Special mentions: Callan Ward (he’s still not worth whatever GWS want to pay him though), David Swallow, Jarrad McVeigh, Jack Steven, Stewy Crameri, Jarryd Blair, Allen Christensen, Tom Logan, Sam Iles, Luke Parker (106 last week), Hayden Jolly (98 last week), Brad Ebert (99 last week), Aaron Joseph (98 last week), and Dion Prestia.

  1. Guys how long do you think Boomer Harvey will be out for?
Kinda ruined my plans as I was planning to trade him out when the Roos have the finals bye for a Sammy MItchell/GAJ.

  2. I tossed a coin between Joey and Dal this year and picked the wrong one. Dal has been super and I wish he were in my team.

  3. Also think there will be a few Burgoyne -> Bartel trades, for any of the spuds (Eg, myself) with ze bergerrr in their team will do it for a $6,000 odd upgrade

  4. You can still only bring yourself to give Mitchell an honourable mention… No sub 100s since I brought him in including a 130+ & 140+

  5. Mick Malthouse said he would be resting a few of Collingwoods stars towards the end of the season(finals time) probably meaning Swan, Pendlebury, Thomas etc will miss but I was also wondering will Leon Neon get a rest as well. Because I think he is a fantastic pick as a foward, unique and scoring quite well so what do you think?
