Will Minson ($548,500, 113.2, 104) – Guess who quietly took the mantle of Best Ruck in SC last week? No, not Massive Cox. Biiiiiiig Willy! To put an exclamation mark on that, he’s also the best performing ruck over the last 3 weeks averaging 119 over that period. Go Wilbur!!
Matthew Kreuzer ($520,500, 95.58, 78) – A couple of weeks ago, I named the only rucks I would consider having on the field for the rest of the year and Humphrey didn’t make the list. My issue in previous years has been his inconsistency and durability. Hopefully the 3 games he’s already missed this year will be it for 2013 and if he can keep up his recent form (scoring 5 tons in the last 6 weeks) I will have to append my list.
Midpricers
Thomas Nicholls ($370,300, 101.5, 8) – Those who are running with ToNic in their second ruck position would’ve been absolutely ecstatic with his 121 against The Tiges on Saturday. Others with him on their bench would’ve been absolutely spewing . Those without him at all would’ve been kinda ambivalent depending on whether their opponents had him and where they played him.
Dawson Simpson ($309,900, 90.5, -5) – The Cats’ project ruckman loves playing at home – he’s scored 105 and 131 at Kardinia. He’s not so happy about playing away – has scored a pair of 63’s at the Gabba and the MCG. Geelong has 3 of the SC Finals games at home. Can you see where I’m heading with this?
Rookies
Josh Hall ($141,800) – This Sun scored 47 in his first game. The bloke you may want to consider though is:
Liam McBean ($109,500) – Hasn’t played a game and probably won’t but with an invaluable R/F DPP status, you can use him to bring Cox, NicNat or Roughie back into your Rucks from your Forward line. It’s a strategy our very own 15th placed MJ has employed and if its good enough for him……
