Motts Movers R7, 2013 – The Mids

Written by Motts on May 16 2013

Premiums

Gary Ablett ($704,400, 138.43, 131) – You. Just. Have. To. Have. Him.

Patrick Dangerfield ($599,800, 111.86, 40) – Back to his unstoppable best. When he goes L, he goes XXL. 173 against the Hawks backed up by a 147 against the Giants.

Joel Selwood ($568,600, 114, 136) – Averaging 114 yet has still dropped $60k from his starting price this year. Grab Priddis this week but next week you gotta bring in the Ducker. He’ll have a dream stretch in front of him in which he’ll face Port, the Gold Coast and GWS.

Special Mention: Brent Harvey ($511,000) scored 119 in his first game back.

Midpricers

Luke Hodge ($491,900, 105, 37) – You just have to love the way he goes about it. Tough, uncompromising, unsociable. Delivers it on a dime.

Bernie Vince ($404,100, 71.33, 49) – Three scores in the mid-90s over the last 3 matches suggests he’s building to something. Saints, Roos, Dockers, Swans, and Tiges before his R13 bye.

David Swallow ($399,000, 83.14, 52) – Over the last 3 has gone for 88, 83 and 102 against GWS, Freo and Melbourne which is nothing special but there’s a MAJOR reason I’d be selecting good GC players this year: have you seen their SC finals run?!? Finals Week 1: Melbourne. Week 2: Port Adelaide. Week 3: St Kilda. Week 4: GWS. Load up on the Gold Coast Cu…ah….Suns.

Rookies

Big Ol Sexy has done all the hard rookie work for me this week – check out his recommendations here. Or don’t. Totally up to you.

  1. Hooooodddgggeeeeyy!! Hooooodddgggeeeeyy!!

I won’t be picking him in my SC team because despite looking fitter than he has for five years his injury history still worries me. But with unlimited trades I’m all over The General for DT.

If you’re travelling well and have managed to not use that many trades then I think he will be a fantastic POD. Unfortunately my trigger finger is starting to cramp up so I need to take things a bit easier.

  2. priddis would be averaging 115 around about if he didnt get knocked out, and for his price i would be getting him, dangerfield is a gun he is racking up the touches and with walker out he is a great option up forward aswell.

  4. Guys, what do you reckon of these trades:

    Stevenson – Sierakowski
    Stevens – Priddis

I’ll have almost no money left in the kitty, but still worth it though, Priddis will never again be as cheap as he is now.

    Thumbs Up – Good trades
    Thumbs Down – Bad trades
