Motts Movers R7, 2013 – The Forwards

Written by Motts on May 16 2013

Premiums

Nick Riewoldt ($605,100, 120.43, 92) – Watched him make a mockery of The Blues defence Monday night and I am now a believer – whatever injury worries he’s had in the past, they’re not an issue now. What an absolute champion.

Stevie Johnson ($585,600, 115.2, 107) – Speaking of champions, Stevie’s spent the last 3 weeks tearing up the Dogs, Tiges and Bombers to the tune of 160, 121, and 123. After the Pies this week, he faces Port, the Gold Coast and GWS. I honestly believe you must do whatever you can to bring him into your team either this week or next. It won’t be cheap but he’ll repay you in spades.

Dustin Martin ($551,800, 111.29, 73) – Dusty hasn’t disappointed one little bit this year. His lowest score was an 80 against the Pies in R4 but since then he’s produced 3 decent sized tons and against Melbourne this week will go bananas again. R11 bye.

Midpricers

Drew Petrie ($485,900, 91, 48) – Absolutely dominates the weaker teams. His 3 120-ish scores this year have come against Brisbane, Port and The Dogs. R12 bye.

Matthew Stokes ($460,200, 98.57, 72) – A little inconsistent but with an average edging towards 100 you’d accept that. For the same reasons I’m recommending SJ, you’ve gotta consider Stokesy too.

Jordan Lewis ($450,200, 87.86, 80) – Hasn’t scored 100 yet this year but hasn’t scored less than 76 either. Just a reliable, consistent scorer who represents good value at this price.

Keeping this one brief too so drop past BS’s Rookie Review for the Forward rooks if you need ’em.

  1. Is it too late to jump on Nick R if the cash is available? He is looking like the only ultra premium forward at this stage of the competition.

  2. Motts are you not concerned that Stevie J maybe given a “rest” with some of the easier teams coming up?

  3. Footy community I need help!!
In a bit of dilemma of who to trade for priddis

    Hartlett to priddis
    Or
    Burgoyne to priddis

Both struggling, I think hartlett might come good soon
And Burgoyne has been averaging way below his usual

  4. Spent a good few hours getting my Excel on last week figuring out if I could afford to get Stevie J instead of Daisy for my last forward spot. I could and I did and I’m pretty happy with the move too. Reckon with his more permanent midfield role now he might have even lost the flat-track bully tag.

planning next week JJK/monfries out for nic nat

    TU: worth the risk
    TD: better options out there

  6. Not trusting the 2 weeks on Daisy at all.

TU: Neade to Priddis, Daisy to Martin/Roughy/Boomer

TD: Neade to Priddis, Daisy to Ben Kennedy (with the aim of a double mid upgrade next week, Jobe and Cotch)
