Motts Movers R7 – The Forwards

Written by Motts on May 13 2011

Abbreviated Movers this afternoon given its only a couple of hours til lockout. (And because Mottsy might have had a couple of Tassie pinots over lunch…)

Thrillers

Mathew Pavlich ($521,000, 122, 115.67, 125) – 5 tons in a row and loves a Derby.

Robin Nahas ($387,300, 125, 86.86, -15) – Been going bananas lately.

Brent Harvey ($500,100, 100, 106.0, 105) – Just continues to get it done.

Honourable mentions: Jared Brennan (LOVED being named a Mover last week and celebrated with a 155 pt outing), Lance Franklin and Jarryd Roughead.

Chillers

Nick Riewoldt ($405,400, 63, 81.50, 161) – We love the blond bomber but he simply cannot kick straight to save himself. If you didn’t have him at the start of the year you’d be patting yourself on the back right now that you hadn’t wasted the $124,500 that he’s dropped.

Tom Hawkins ($289,600, 55, 52.80, 72) – Continues to stink it up. How much more of a threat would Geelong be if this guy was as potent as T Cloke at full forward?

Travis Varcoe ($346,600, 72, 72.67, 74) – This may be considered a little unfair given he’s scoring at a rate that maintains his price but I just expected a lot more out of him this year.

Drillers

Luke Tapscott ($266,600, 104, 82.50, 21) – Still very cheap.

Robert Murphy ($375,900, 98, 94.17, 41) – Only one poor performance for the year so far

Jack Watts ($241,000, 92, 58.33, -11) – 80 and a 92 in his last 2 games – coming good?

Special mentions: Isaac Smith (102 on debut!), Liam Patrick (100 in his second game!), and  Josh Hill (4 tons in 6 games).

  1. Who does Liam Patrick play for? Big issues, no cover for curnow must trade to get players on field and need to trade jack Grimes out as well but was hoping to wait a week. Any suggestions?

  2. Roo is to much of a gun to stay in this slump much longer.

He just needs to play 1 blinder and he’s back.

  3. Gday Boys,

Got my team pretty close to where I need it to be, saving enough trades for the finals still.

Looking at one trade only this week, mainly for flexibility as a DPP Forward / Midfielder.
I have enough coin in my bank to grab whoever I like really.
Whats everyones thoughts on the following players to bring in…
Ryan O’Keefe (Sydney have a nice run in the next 4 – 5 Weeks)
Alan Didak (Quite cheap at the moment, no byes late in the year)
Jared Brennan (Go to player at the GCS)
Colin Sylvia (Inconsistency is my only worry)
    Nathan Fyfe (speaks for himself)
Not putting Chappy or Brent Harvey as options due to byes in the final 4 weeks.

  6. Tell you guys what, big bad Johnothan Brown will be cherry ripe for an upgrade when he comes back. Nobody in the Brisbane forward line would take points from him.
