Motts Movers R9 – The Rucks

by Motts on May 26, 2010

D Hille ($412,400 $+42,500 ($+101,100), 152) – Do you know how much I wish this guy got suspended last week? It probably would’ve been the difference in the game I lost in my primary league. Grrrrrr. 152 and 111 over the last 2 weeks. With the rumour that Nic Nat may get rested soon you may want to consider him but I’d consider that a sideways trade. Me, I’d be looking at…..

D Cox ($512,700 $+14,700 ($-77,300), 107) – Bottomed out at $474k so you haven’t missed it by that much and with his last 3 rounds producing an average of 112.67 its clear he’s back to his best. Get on Massive Cox!

I throw it over to you, loyal commenters, to name the ones who dudded it up this week.

I lost seaby to injury and my backup ruck has stopped getting a game an I have very few trades so I need to pretty much straight swap seaby about 290K, I’m thinking greham from Richmond… Any thoughts would be much appreciated guys.

Graham ($284,200 $+0 ($+0) , 98.5) looks a great option. Especially with Simmonds retiring today.

Sauce Jacobs from Carlton had a great game last week. Leuenberger from Brisbane did too. And both fit your price criteria.

Of the 3 I’d still probably stick with Graham given his value upside and the Simmonds retirement.

They are my two ruckman in my side right there. Finally getting some joy out of the ruck department.

Trades in the ruck division have so far been
Clark > Seaby (turns out to be an absolute dud as I had slightly suspected but needed the cash for J Brown, then gets himself injured and 3 points)

Seaby > Cox (found the right guy for the job, massive cox always rises to the occasion)

PA’s Tool in the Ruck For R9

Cameron Wood R9 Score 24 ($355,000,$-55,400,($-55,400),41.00, R10 B/E 139) Cam was traded from Brisbane to Collingwood in 2007 for DP 14, but the Lions used this pick to get Travis Hobo Johnstone from Melbourne who picked up Jack Grimes with, what a waste Malthouse.

I know Cam had a finger injury early this year, but come on it’s the ring finger do what Daniel Chick did and chop it off already you wuss. Scores of 45,54 and 24 are shocking to say the least even Jackson Trengove is doing better and this guy hasn’t the slightest idea of how to play footy. Pick up your game Cam or else it’s back to the 2s for you.

Seeing him in a couple of games last year with his body type I reckon he’ll need time to mature and gain confidence ala the big Cox.
Immature rucks are never good SC options.

Wood will go back to the 2′s this week imo for Fraser Crane and I am happy enough with the trade that bought him to Collingwood. He’ll improve and will be cherry ripe to take over from Jolly and Fraser in due course.
Having said that, you wont find Wood in my SC ruck division anytime soon.

Cam Wood is hopeless but I reckon Blake from geelong is almost worse! His last two weeks has been outstanding for him, a 66 and 67, before that 54, 19 and 10!
