Movers & Shakers – Round 19

Written by The Salamander on July 25 2019

Player Name (Other position) (Club, Price, Average, 3-round-average, 5-round-average)

DEFENDERS

Christian Salem (MEL, $507,200, 98.0, 106.7, 114.4)
Salem isn’t one who has been getting much discussion in SuperCoach circles this year, but, as his numbers show, he has quietly been putting together an excellent season, especially lately.

Griffin Logue (FRE, $277,300, 73.6, 57.3, 73.6)
With a price-tag of just over $164K, and scores in his first two games of 93 and 103, Logue was either the backline bargain of the century, or a great, big trap. Unfortunately for those of us who brought him in, he was a trap. Still, at least he’s back in the team now.

MIDFIELDERS

Jarryd Lyons (BRL, $529,500, 94.1, 118.0, 119.2)
He’s finally getting the media accolades he deserves after his BOG performance on the weekend, but he’s actually been playing very well for a little while now, with 4 of his last 5 scores being excellent (112, 130, 50, 139, and 165).

Ben Cunnington (NTH, $499,700, 107.7, 82.7, 90.6)
Although he is still having a career-best season, Cunnington’s form has not had the consistency lately that got him noticed earlier in the year, with 3 of his last 5 scores being under 90 (including 2 under 60), to go with a 105 and a 146.

RUCKS

Todd Goldstein (NTH, $613,200, 108.9, 134.7, 126.4)
Exploding just after many of those who started him would have traded him out, Goldstein has rewarded those who held on to him with scores of 131, 148, 132, and 124 over the last month.

Braydon Preuss (MEL, $369,000, 81.2, 77.7, 81.2)
After scoring 140 with Gawn out of the side, he has since managed just 54 and 39. At least he doesn’t seem to be affecting Gawn’s scoring too badly!

FORWARDS

Josh Dunkley (MID) (WBD, $650,400, 114.1, 144.0, 128.8)
Something something 200+, something something number 1 forward in the game, something something every team in the top 50… Personally, I’m just annoyed that I don’t have him.

Tim Kelly (MID) (GEE, $491,100. 102.9, 81.7, 89.8)
…And equally annoyed that someone I do have has been copping extra opposition attention lately! He’s still been scoring reasonably well by forward standards, but if his five remaining opposition coaches would kindly tag somebody else instead, that would be great. 😉

  1. Don’t think Salem will do enough to salvage my DEADTeam, but good to see all the same!!
    Thanks Sal 🙂

  2. Greene with a 3 round ave of 107 (71, 138, 112). As a F6 option at $451k can he average 100+ for the rest of the season?

Wish Goldy would have scored along similar levels in the 1st half of the season. One of my favourite players from a Sc and non Sc perspective and would have loved to keep him all season. Gawn’s form and ceiling potentially compensating for my poor D5-D6 and F5-F6 was the main allure to execute the trade in Rd14 as well as an extra round advantage but this was reduced due to his absence.

The last time Goldy scored 4 consecutive 120+’s was Rd16-20 2015.

  4. After round 2 I asked on here who to trade to get in T.Kelley… either Dunkley or Heeney…

I went with the large majority and chose wrong :/
