The AFL advises the Match Review of the remaining games from Saturday and Sunday of Round Six have now been completed. The following charges have been laid with one other incident requiring further explanation.

Charges Laid:
Alex Keath, Adelaide Crows, has been charged with a first offence of making Careless Contact with an Umpire (Hayden Gavine) during the first quarter of the Round Six match between St Kilda and the Adelaide Crows, played at Marvel Stadium on Saturday April 27.

In summary, he can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea.

Based on available evidence, the incident was assessed as Careless Contact with an Umpire. The incident was classified as a $1500 sanction as a first offence. The player can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea.

Tom Liberatore, Western Bulldogs has been charged with Rough Conduct against Michael Walters, Fremantle during the first quarter of the Round Six match between Fremantle and Western Bulldogs, played at Optus Stadium on Saturday April 27.

Charlie Ballard (Gold Coast Suns) has possession of the football and Bowes seeks to shepherd Neale from his teammate. Neale attempts to get past Bowes to attempt the tackle. Both players go to ground. It was the view of the MRO that Neale’s actions did not constitute a reportable offence.

Contact between Sydney Swans’ Aliir Aliir and GWS GIANTS’ Matt de Boer in the first quarter of Saturday’s match was assessed. De Boer looks to engage and hold Aliir in the forward line for GWS. Aliir attempts to push de Boer and high contact is made. It was the view of the MRO that Aliir’s actions did not constitute a reportable offence.
