Other incidents assessed:
Contact between Hawthorn’s Cyril Rioli and St Kilda’s Jarryn Geary from the first quarter of Friday’s match was assessed. It was the view of the panel the force used was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.
Contact between Port Adelaide’s Jackson Trengove and the Geelong Cats’ Mitch Duncan from the first quarter of Saturday’s match was assessed. The panel said Duncan had taken possession of the ball and then accelerated in a bid to break through a congested area of players. Trengove met Duncan with a tackle and took him to the ground in one motion. It was the view of the panel that Trengove’s actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances and no further action was taken.
