    1. Bang-on again, Bruce. Christian is an absolute flog.

Jetta decision was odd as well. How can you possibly infer that he intended to harm Smith? He snapped up a stationary player with the hope of forcing a dropping the ball to get it out of his team’s defensive 50- and he did! Smith dropped the ball and a free kick was awarded to Jetta.

Unfortunately, Smith was stationary and couldn’t brace for a tackle meaning he got hurt- that is immaterial to a tackling player though, it wasn’t high and it wasn’t in the back. It was a legal tackle made in odd circumstances.

Don’t see how that is “rough conduct”.

Meanwhile Fyfe and Abblett literally assassinate players with flying elbows and Christian does nothing. Such rubbish.

    1. That’s what I saw. Not sure – either the MRO had different foootage or they’re a farce. I’m leaning towards the latter.

  3. It’s all about OHS.
It’s a job out there remember.
Christian has to show he is attempting to (?) / enforcing (?) OHS guidelines to keep insurance premiums to a minimum, and the players safety risks (AFLPA) in check.
………..He also probably has to make sure he still has the star public attractions to enforce public “interest” in our game.
    (NRL?)…….
