Numero Uno

Written by Duck on April 21 2011

That all important question rolls around again, who’s going to get you the big score and then double it. There’s a partial lockout too so many will exploit that. If you need the numbers then there’s no better place too look than Too Serious, thanks again Walesy.

This week i’m putting my faith in ???

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

  1. Jimmy Bartel for me, loves playing against the Hawks avg 123.9 ppg and coming off 128 and a massive 156 from last year.

  2. going with (not so) St Nick…he was in gd touch early against the bombers and could have kicked 6-8 in the end, but the second half they got out played so im giving the skippa to the big blonde

  3. Agreed, I’ll prob make him my VC tonight for loophole purposes. I also think that the dodgy roo will have a big one too.

  4. For those of you who are running the Petrie/J.Tippet plan, and, who also have Z.Smith @ R3.
Will you stick with the original plan, or, swing in Z.Smith to replace the massive one this week, given his great SC form so far this year?

  5. Me too, although, the selection committee are meeting as I type, so things might change, I have a bit of a choice with Dish, Krak, Richo, SMAC & young Matera all competing for the last two spots in the F/L.

  6. As will I… Smith shouldn’t dip below 80 all year.

Would love Tippett to get a game soon though… seems everyone else on the GCS list is!

  7. Given that I currently have JT listed as both my R2 & captain, I sincerly hope that he ISN’T picked this week. 😀

  8. He must be joking…if collingwood are overrated why would he put 100% trust in him to deliver a monster score?

  9. Im going with Volt for vice captain. If he scores 120+ then all good otherwise going for Swan…

  10. I presumed that you confused Swan with Beams when originally typing out the names on this thread. 😀

  11. Don’t have Swan -I chose Penders- so will be looking at Penders/Sandi/Lids or even Curnow???
Ideally, Goddard will give me a good reason not to bother with those other options.

  12. Supercoach website says that you can pick one of the teams that has a bye for your captain and then use an emergency to take their place. I thought that the bye guys get big fat donuts from first game?!?!?! I’m confused.

  13. My comprehension is that similar to injured players, an on-field player with a bye will get a donut unless he has been linked to an emg on the appropriate line.
The danger with this plan is if there is a late withdrawal on that line, you get a guaranteed donut.

  14. I’m not sure if the bye teams (Dees, WCE and Swans) get locked with the Saints and Lions after 7.45pm 2nite. If that’s the case you won’t be able to take off the “C” on those players i.e Cox, Goodesy or ROK, that’s my only concern.

  15. I’m liking Boak against GC at home. Realistically, he won’t get tagged, finding some form.

  16. From memory in the first round, the Hats had the bye and they weren’t locked after partial. Only Carlton and Richmond players. I’m going with Tapscott to hold the C with Petrie covering as E. Goddard holds the VC. If he smashes it, I’ll leave as is. If not, I’ll change the C to Swan. If it goes pear shaped (i.e Tapscott locked and can’t change C) I’ll wear whatever God delivers…

  17. Yeah, but if you’ve got someone like J-Tipp there is no need to risk it, as along as he’s not named tonight though.

  18. Boys,
    Whats your thoughts on Coad?
Anyone hanging on to him until he is fit and trying to make a bit
of coin off him, or trading him now for someone like toy?
    Whats your thoughts?

  19. hes out for 3 months dude, i was looking forward to bringing him in this week, his breakeven was rockbottom.
But you cant waste that much of the season on a cow.

Personally im bringing in toy this week, cheap, getting games and breakeven is nice and low so he’ll rise in price nicely.

I have tossed up between toy and brodie smith all week but that extra 60k i save on toy i can use in a few rounds to upgrade a mid to swan.

  20. Was thinking something along the same lines.
Not happy at all with Coad now.
I took him at the start of the year before Toy due to him being an older
experienced person (there all the rave this year)
    Now this happens!
Going to be a waste of a trade, but gotta do what ya gotta do!
    Whats your thoughts on Jobe?
Reckon he will keep this up for the year?
Or only for as long as Essendon are travelling well…
Looking at bringing him in as I already have swanny and 3 more premium mids

  21. Havent really followed Jobe, but he has dropped 7k and his breakeven is only 93 so if your in the market for him, now is the time to buy because his value will go back up, not sure how he is going to score anzac day but he looks like a pretty good pickup, an avg of 120 helps aswell!!!

  22. Can be done that way, and, if JT was named tonight, would be the way I’ll go. I don’t think it matters too much either way.

  23. Yeh definetely been watching him close.
Looks in very fine form and is kicking the ball alot more
    Not so many handballs.
Whats your thoughts on a replacement for Coad.
Toy is the only real option…
Or do I wear the injury and leave him there and upgrade to a premium defender as I have cash to spend also?
