R15 Injuries

Written by Duck on 6:26 am, July 13 2009

Big news this week is the injury to Jed Adcock minutes in to the first quarter of the clash against the Cats.

Many, myself included, figured this would severely diminish Brisbanes` chances against arguably the best team in the league. Not at all, Brisbane through Johnno Browns 4 goals got up in the end. Not that i tipped them.

Jed`s out for the season, and these other blokes and in some trouble too.

BRISBANE
Jed Adcock, knee season

GEELONG
Max Rooke, shoulder, OK
Nathan Djerrkura, thigh, test

Ducks Guts R15

Written by Duck on 5:27 am, July 9 2009

The Ducks Guts – The players excelling and worth inclusion in any SuperCoach Team.

Scott Thompson (Crows)  He’s averaging 99 points and last week grabbed 135. He`s got a great history at AAMI stadium and coming up against Freo this week he should have a belter. Well worth considering as captain aswell.

Andrew Carrazzo (Blues) On the back of last rounds 164 you`d have to consider him. His average is low 80`s but this is sure to rise in the next few weeks. Currently priced at $440k.

Greg Broughton (Freo) I`d be surprised if you don`t already have him and if not you have to get on board before he goes up anymore.

Captain Selection Critical – R14

Written by Duck on 3:16 am, July 2 2009

Let`s face it, if you have Gary Ablett Jnr your captain selection is pretty much a no brainer, but what if you don`t?

Round 13 saw some massive scores with these blokes taking out the top 10.

1.ABLETT,Gary 206
2.SWAN,Dane 167
3.MATTNER,Martin 163
4.DIDAK,Alan 163
5.MITCHELL,Sam 160

7.BRUCE,Cameron 150
8.TUCK,Shane 149
9.DAL SANTO,Nick 147
10.PORPLYZIA,Jason 145

So who do you back in with the top job for R14?

Prior to having Ablett i used to flip between Chad Cornes and Chris Judd,

Motts Movers – R14

Written by Motts on 8:49 am, June 30 2009

Backs

  • Jed Adcock ($463,600, 89.62) – Jed’s a star. Jed had some lean weeks in the middle of the season but Jed is back. Jed has scored 4 tons over the last 5 rounds averaging 105.6 over the same period. I like Jed. I’ve got Jed. I like saying Jed.
  • Shannon Hurn ($433,500, 86.38) – When I saw Shurn in Sheedy’s team at the beginning of the year I thought “you’re a dope, Sheeds”. I then knocked him off a couple of weeks later when I played him. But over the last 3 rounds Shurn has averaged 102.67.

R13 Injuries – Unlucky For Some

Written by Duck on 6:06 am, June 30 2009

Very thankful i opted for Stevie J over Pavlich in this weeks trade, although it would help if Steve lifts his game a big this week.

The only other issue for me is D. Giansiracusa who i need fit if i`m to have any chance taking on this weeks ladder leader.

Motts’ Movers – R13

Written by Motts on 12:40 am, June 24 2009

Backs
Couple of cheap options for you here. And I couldn’t go without mentioning a Rolls Royce too:

  • Greg Broughton ($302,900, 89.40) – the kid has improved every game since he started culminating in a 119 against Stevie J last week. Can proudly say I’ve had him since Day 1.
  • Nathan Grima ($234,300, 78.00) – Got this fella in early too. In 4 games he’s managed a 92 as well as last week’s 113.
  • Paul Duffield ($582,200, 106.27) – I hesitated on putting this guy in this week given he’s playing the Pies at the MCG on Saturday arvo but I watched last week and he was magnificent and his numbers don’t lie.
