Betstar Super Coach Draft

Written by Duck on 1:19 pm, March 12 2013

We’ve got 1 spot up for grabs in the Betstar Super Coach Draft.

The event is this Saturday 16th March at the Precinct Hotel, in Richmond, from 12pm-3pm. Food & Beverages are provided, so we can all have a few beers and a bit of a laugh.

Your team consists of 3 players (so you will invite two mates along) – I will send you the League details later this week so that you can sign up prior to the event, but it will pay to be a little prepared.

What do you have to do to with this spot?

Bartel v Rioli

Written by Motts on 9:01 am, March 11 2013

Two of the best midfield/forward DPP’s in the game (just as an aside, I’m gobsmacked that Paul Chapman is the highest priced M/F DPP in SC this year). One coming down from the peak of his career, the other on his way up.

Bartel’s a Brownlow medallist and out-and-out SC champion averaging well into the 100’s between 2007 and 2010. The last couple of years he’s slipped back to the mid-90’s though. Always very durable. Missed 3 games last year but prior to that it was only 1 or 2 a year (more than likley mandated rests by the coaching staff).

SCT Leagues

Written by Motts on 8:13 pm, March 6 2013

We still have spaces in a number of our 2013 SCT leagues: Chicks leagues, LoEC leagues and our normal SCT leagues. If you’re not already in one, email me ASAP to ensure you get a spot in some of the most competitive leagues in the country.

If you’ve already emailed me and I haven’t placed you in one, I’m sorry. Its as hectic as all get up in SCTHQ during the preseason.

On the SCTTL front, I’ll send out a separate post to explain what you need to do to join those leagues.

To email me,

Left Field – Jared Rivers?

Written by Big Sexy on 6:02 am, March 6 2013

So watching the Nabby and keep seeing this guy in the blue and white hoops taking mark after mark, rebounding and playing the link man out of defence.  Then the realisation that it was Jared Rivers in new colours was a bit of a shock.  Then the subsequent question about when you take a good player out of a rubbish team, will their scoring go through the roof, or through the floor.  Keep in mind Lonergan takes the best forward in the shut down role, Taylor will get second best forward, and Enright will take the small forward, and carry the ball out of defence…..
