Motts Movers R5 – The Rucks

Written by Motts on 2:00 pm, April 29 2010

I’m not going to even bother with the underperformers this week because its just the same old names: Tippett, Simmonds, and White. None of them average over 50 points a game and none of them scored over 70 last week. Move on, people, there’s nothing to see here…..

But there is something to look at here!!

A Sandilands ($560,500 $+17,000 ($+21,900), 120.00) – Didn’t just score 100. He scored 145! Has become THE must-have ruckman in the comp.

D Cox ($474,900 $-3,400 ($-115,100), 75.20) – Backed up last week’s 119 with a very creditable 87.

Corporate Boxing

I happened to be in Melbourne over the weekend and caught a few games of footy while i was there.

Monday morning we were experiencing the pain of buying tickets online when the message came in from Motts’ bro …..”Got 4 tickets to today’s footy if you want them?”

Free stuff we said?! Of course we’ll take them …. only thing is we needed to pick them up from Moonee Ponds … that and make sure we wore collars cause we’re in the box baby!

We were positioned over the players race which gave us a pretty good view of most of the ground.

Best/Worst Trades

Written by Motts on 6:56 am, April 29 2010

So we’re 5 rounds in – who’s been your best and worst trades so far this year? I’m not talking about blokes you had at the start of the season.

Motts Movers R5 – The Mids

Written by Motts on 6:08 pm, April 28 2010

No surprises that all three of these blokes are playing in very ordinary teams.

Jason Winderlich ($423,300 $-28,400 ($-90,400), 67.60) – You probably won’t believe this but Winterdick averaged 96 points a game last year. Wouldn’t you be ropeable if you’d taken a punt on him? Some would say he’s a bargain at this price but I’m not going near him.

Brent Reilly ($351,400 $-12,500 ($-55,500), 66.80) – Gave everybody hope when he kicked off the year with an 89 but since then has had three scores in the 50s. Tackling a lot but giving away a lot of frees.

Your Favourite DPP

Written by Motts on 3:00 pm, April 28 2010

I’ve purposely made this a subjective assessment because on average alone it would be Goddard with 124 PPG. It could be for any number of reasons. Right now, who is your favourite Dual Position Player?
