Conventional wisdom states that it takes players until their third year in the big leagues for them to find their feet and start fulfilling their potential.
Here is the Top 10 from the 2008 AFL Draft. If conventional wisdom is right, then these boys are all due for a breakout year.
Who else from the 2008 Draft do you have your eye on?

So i’m having a look at my SuperCoach Team when i see this tab that says “SuperCoach PRO”
Reading on a little further it goes on to say “SuperCoach Gold is the ultimate statistical data, tools and analysis package, providing player stat analysis, price, break-even & scoring projections! All of the player info, exclusive content, research and analysis you’ll ever need to play SuperCoach is in the one place and conveniently integrated right within the game and your team!”
This is where things are going to get a bit tricky. Before SuperCoach PRO the playing field was pretty even,

I haven’t been rating too many teams so far. Just think its a little early to do a full analysis of somebody’s team when there’s still 6 weeks to go before the Blues beat Richmond (sorry Mike but its true) on March 24.
A lot can happen in 6 weeks. Jarrad Waite might deck someone at training, more scandals could emerge from the Saints NZ trip that result in more suspensions, niggling injuries could flare up, and veterans could decide that they just don’t have another year left in their legs. Oh, and players might get injured playing the nab cup.

I’ve looked into this a bit and had a couple of rare thoughts. First of all you need to understand this new rule: “you’ll play over 15 rounds, with the 5 rounds where three AFL clubs have a bye (Round 4, 5, 6, 16 and 19) also being ‘bye’ rounds in your leagues (no head-to-head match ups). Your team continues to play and score as usual in the general comp over those 5 rounds. Finals series follow during Rounds 21-24.”
So if all you’re looking to do is win your league and not win the whole thing, then it makes sense for you to pick players from teams who’s byes coincide with Rounds 4,

By popular demand we’ve added a few new leagues for our readers to pit themselves against each other.
SCT3 (League invite code: 792219)
SCT4 (League invite code: 678377)
Both leagues are now open and WILL fill up fast so don’t delay in joining one OR the other, don’t join both …… i’ll remove anyone who does.
Also, do us a favour and let all your buddies know what a great site you the readers have turned this in to. The more people commenting and discussing their teams and the competition in general the better educated we’ll all be when selecting our teams each week.
