Motts Movers – Defenders – R9

Written by Motts on 8:27 am, May 18 2009

If you’re like me and can’t wait for the teams to be announced on Friday so you can start trading the next 4 days draaaaaaag along. Here are some options in your backline to think about this week:

Jack Grimes – if you haven’t heard of him yet you must be living under a rock. The guy had a back problem that meant he didn’t play one round last year but has made up for lost time in the last couple of weeks with scores of 92 in his first game against West Coast in R7 and then 109 against the Dogs last week.

Injury Wash-up From Round 8

Written by duck on 3:08 am, May 18 2009

Not a massive amount of new injuries sustained during R8 which will please many a Fantasy Football coach.

It will be an interesting week ahead with hopefully a few players returning from injuries giving me 1/2 a chance to be competitive this week, time will tell … anyhoo, he’s the aftermath from R8.

WESTERN BULLDOGS

Ryan Hargrave, thigh – Test

Robert Murphy, hamstring – 2-3 weeks

GEELONG

Darren Milburn, ankle – Scan

Paul Chapman, back – OK

NORTH MELBOURNE

Brady Rawlings, calf –

Round 8 Progress Scores

Written by duck on 1:25 am, May 16 2009

work-in-progressThe hawks players in my team once again proved their worth …. more than i can say for Nick Suban who made his debut for me this week with a measly 33 .

Paul Haselby wasn`t much better managing only 61.

Heading into Super Saturday with 2 donuts in the forward line wont be any good either, i knew Higgins was out but losing Jack Riewoldt too was a surprise.

Currently i`m on 306 from 4 players with my opponent on 185 from 2. I`m not out of it yet.

How are you travelling?

Frogspread

Written by Duck on 4:04 am, May 15 2009

Last week I knocked Bob “Frogspread” Cat off his high and mighty perch. This fucker has won the comp the last 3 years and needs a touch up. He is the sort of bloke you love to whack at any opportunity. Tall, skinny, balding and with an ass borrowed from a frying pan the bloke had to be good at something. Sports it is and the broomstick looking fucker is very very very competitive. With solid stint in the WAFL culminating in a runner up medal only to the great Dean Kemp in the Sandover count…given a crack at the AFL this bloke coulda won a brownlow.
