What to do with Hille, Higgins and Maguire?

Written by Big Sexy on 11:00 am, June 11 2010

Before we get started, they are all expected to be out 2-4 weeks which isn’t massive, and a lot depends on how your bench looks…. If you have good coverage, then the answer is simple… don’t trade.

First up Hille:  No secret I don’t make my team revolve around rucks and don’t put a lot of faith in them due to inconsistency, and injury susceptabe (case and point).  I also don’t recommend wasting much money on your Ruck bench, especially when you don’t normally have an emergency named…. My advice:

1)    If you have someone playing on your bench,

The Big Decision

Keeping it short this week. Would be very surprised if someone nominates a captain that isn’t in the options below. Goddard would’ve given you 134 extra points above GAJ last week if you’d had the guts to switch it to him. There seems to be a bit of discontent down Kardinia Park way with the Little Master of late – is that enough to make you give it to someone else?

Gilbee v Gilbert

Unbelievably they’re both averaging 101.82. But Bert is a DPP while Bee is not. So is the DPP factor that important to you as we head into the pointy end of the season? If you didn’t have either of them, which one would you grab first?

Motts Movers R11 – The Rucks

OK so I’m over here in ‘Delayed and boy there’s a lot of discontent amongst the Crows camp if the ‘Tiser is anything to go by. If I believed everything I read (which I very rarely do), I’d say it would be a miracle if the Crows got up this week. And that’s knowing how bad Hawthorn are at the moment (yes they’ve been winning – but they’ve been winning ugly [Carlton victory excluded]). Anyway, on to the Tall Timber Movers this week. 3 great value talls plus one good downgrade target:

S Mumford ($414,700 $+35,100 ($+132,000), 85.44)

A Graham ($389,600 $+46,600 ($+105,400),
