Motts Movers R4 – The Forwards

Written by Motts on 6:51 pm, April 20 2010

OK by now everyone knows about James Podsiadly. Big Sexy’s mentioned him, Duck mentioned him months ago and then reminded us that he did today, he’s been in the papers, on the Monday night talkies, Christ you’d think he knocked off Carl Williams. So I’m not going to mention him again but if you need a forward this week, GET PODS!
The blokes you should be looking to trade for him if you have them are:

T Lockyer ($420,300, 67.5) – Was very good last year – I know because I had him. Finished the season with a 93 average.

Ducks Guts R4

Back in early February i happened to mention a bloke i liked the look of and hasn’t he just done me proud in his first 2 outings for Geelong?!?

James Podsiadly is who I’m talking about, if you have him in your team you’d know how well he’s going …. if you don’t then allow me to tell you.

In R3 he belted out a 102 against Freo. Just to prover that wasn’t a 1 off he racked up another 96 against a woeful Port outfit. Now that’s an average of 99 over the 2 games from a guy that only broke the bank to a tune of $83,400.

Rookie Review Round 4

Written by Big Sexy on 6:00 am, April 20 2010

My Top Five Rookies (<$200k) of the week:

1)    J “The fairytale” Podsiadly (Fwd 83k) I can’t believe this bloke, rookie at age 28… ave = 99 after 2, so huge cash jump next week…. I’ve seen both of his games and his NAB Cup.  His NAB Cup game was rubbish, and why I didn’t pick him….. but he has been awesome taking contested marks, a great lead-up forward and kicking goals (even missed a few).  Just because of Mooney/Hawkins I may draft Rockliff this week instead…. But I take back everything I said about this bloke.  Looks the Goodes J

2)    T Rockliff (Fwd 109k) I’ve had my eye on Rockliff since some awesome NAB cup scores,

Motts Movers R4 – The Mids

Written by Motts on 7:42 pm, April 19 2010

Lets get going in the guts this week. First up, the villains:

Joel Selwood ($546,500, 101.5) – Perhaps I’m being a little rough considering he is averaging over 100 but when you pay $588k for a bloke you expect a little more. His scores are all over the shop (or as kb would say the standard deviation of his scores is quite high) culminating with the weekend’s 70 and corresponding $33k drop.

Adam Goodes ($531,600, 89.5) – In a bit of freefall at the moment because he has yet to crack triple figures. That price represents a total drop of just over $75k.

SuperCoach Leagues R4

This round was the first time we’ve squared off against each other in the minor round …. i for one was pleased with getting a few wins under the and sitting on the top of the SCTalk 1 League. Well done me.

Nice to see we’re still at 105 although i’d love to break into the top 100 … maybe next week.

SCTalk 2 sees Roland on the top of the heap …. nice work mate.

How’s the LOEC and Girls comps going Motts?
