Pendles – Who’s trading?

Written by Big Sexy on June 7 2012

So Pendles has a cracked Tibia and a bye next week.  The Pies are claiming best case scenario is 2 weeks, but worst case I’ve heard is 5-6 weeks….. What to do?

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

  1. 3 trades for me: pendles to priddis, smith to cloke, treloar to rioli. This will leave no more upgrades and 10 trades remaining.

  2. I am holding even if it costs me league wins. I want Pendles, Gaz, Selwood and Swan in my team come finals and it seems a waste to trade Pendles out then get him back later. We all know he is top three in the comp so he is worth holding.

  3. I’m not a doctor, or even anywhere near it, so I can really only go on what I have seen to try and make sense of the reports. The way that he played in the first half when he return, coupled with how freely he appears to be moving (walking to the scans, etc) have me thinking that it will be sooner rather than later. I’m tipping 2-3

  4. I’m holding. I think he’ll be back Round 14. Most teams will have 3-7 donuts week anyway. Not worth a trade.

  5. Pendles is GORN. Pity too because I only got a handful of games out of him. Thinking Daisy has popped up at the right time – to save cash and to keep my team balance right for the r12 bye.

Also, just trying to do a tricky trade which worked in my head but not so easy in practice. I want to trade Scotland out of my defence, switch Goddard from mid to def, (that part I can do!) but then I want to switch either Dusty or ROK from fwd to mid and then trade in J Riewoldt into fwd line. That’s the sticking point. Can it be done or am I dreaming?

  6. Collingwood seem to be very acute in their wording, constantly mentioning it’s a small crack in his tibia. If anyone (sadly myself included) has suffered from a condition known as shin splints, it is where micro fractures occur in the tibia. It generally occurs because of overuse thus common in professional sportsmen. As you saw Pendlebury walking it is not the kind of injury that will see you break your leg, it is just uncomfortable and it would not surprise me to see him have a rather strong case of this.

If it did happen to be the case, every week off he could get would be great, but he could play every week and spend recovery running icecubes down his shin.
