Perfect Team – RUCK

Written by Schwarzwalder on February 1 2018

Catta has asked to see which players our SCT Coaches are aiming towards for the 2018 Supercoach season.  Today we vote on the Ruckmen………

I’ve given everyone FOUR choices here, should give us a better idea on the end result (With two choices, we’d be stuck with five Ruckmen at 10%).  So who do you rate as the top Ruckmen for this year?

Who will be the Top Ruckmen in 2018? (four choices)

  1. Ryder i feel will be a top ruckman but it is hard to have him in the team when they have the round 10 bye, as who will replace him for that week?

        1. Thanks Schwarz.

People can thumb down all they like but if he can score 80 per week he’ll increase in price by $100k and maybe step to Ryder at the byes like Witts last year!

          1. Keep an eye out for my review. Only issue I see is if they try to play a clearly injured Nic which may effect Lycetts scores.

  2. Given that solo-rucking is pretty much the most SuperCoach-friendly position there is, there are lots of cheap ruckmen who would storm into relevance if their team’s no. 1 ruck were to go down. For example:

(Player to go down… player to become relevant)
    Sandilands… Sean Darcy
    Stefan Martin… Archie Smith
    Goldstein… Preuss
    Gawn… Pederson
    Kreuzer… Andrew Phillips
    Kreuzer & Phillips… Matthew Lobbe
Jacobs… Either Paul Hunter or Reilly O’Brien
    Grundy… Mason Cox
    Rory Lobb… Dawson Simpson
Rory Lobb & Dawson Simpson…. Lachlan Keeffe is suddenly a premium DEF/FWD

I’m sure there are others, too.

Obviously, I’m not wishing injury upon anybody, but all it takes is one LTI, and everything changes.
