Players Under The Microscope – Saints v Pies

by Duck on February 18, 2010

I’m looking forward to the game Friday night as there’s quite a few big names under the microscope for inclusions into The Mighty Ducks.

So far i’ve got the following blokes pencilled in …. by all means tell me why they should or shouldn’t make the 2010 starting squad.

BACKS

B Goddard – $613,600 and averaging 115

N Maxwell – $490,500 and averaging 92

MIDS

D Swan – $654,50 and averaging 123

L Davis – $591,700 and averaging 111

FORWARDS

N Riewoldt – $600,500 and averaging 113

A Didak – $558,600 and averaging 105

If you think there’s better value for money then let us all know in the comments below.

Definitely Jolly. Also, Gram down back. And how about Lenny and Dal in the guts?

Want to see how he goes against some real competition. My mum could dominate Cameron Wood in an intra club match.

And Pendles, Beams, and Montagna. The more I think about this game the bigger the review will be next week.

The list is endless isn’t it? I guess my point was, highlight what’s WRONG with these blokes.

Looking forward to see how Medhurst goes too. If he’s fit he looks like a bit of a bargain

Hey NALBO, good to have you on board, champ. I’ve received a few requests to rate teams so next week will be putting something together along these lines. Watch this space!

Our Rucks are the same mate, got some similarities in all other possies too. Looking forward to Motts’ analysis.

My 2 cents: Chappy and ROK in the midfield? A bit dangerous. Also not a fan of Schoenmakers. I’m not sure he’ll be much value.

I like your backs Duck, but the Mids i am a little indifferent with, of course there is no arguing that they are gun players, but I will be watching the likes of Ball (457,100) & Pendlebury (595,200) to give me some cheaper options but still score well in the guts.
I also like Jamies comment about Medhurst (320,400), he will be good value in the forwards if he is back to his best!
And I have to say that i am glad that no one so far has mentioned Daisy (393,900), cause he is off my radar after all the preseason hype surrounding him last year and the ordinary numbers he returned, he can stay in the flower pot as far as i am concerned ;)

Will keep an eye on Ball and Pendelbury as possible starters, I need to mix things up this year and break tradition from the usual suspects.

Ones I will be watching closely are: heath shaw, harry o’brien and Tarkyn Lockyer
