Poll – Dunkley Donuts

Written by Schwarzwalder on April 5 2019

Josh Dunkley became one of the more popular F3 options for 2019 after a massive run home in 2018.  After scores of 98 & 76 to open the season, some Coaches are toying with the idea of removing Dunkley.  What would you advise them to do?   Use a corrective trade while they can or slow down and hold?

Should Coaches make a move on Josh Dunkley (WBD)?

    1. He will come out against the GC and smash them. 30+ possies, 3 goals…Wishful thinking I know but it could happen

    1. Once the round has commenced all trades are final! No reversing after first game kicks off. Or so I believe and aren’t about to risk finding out.

        1. SuperCoach has rolling lockout but once the first game starts any trades are final, which is why its best to wait until the game starts in which player you want to trade in/out.

I know AFL fantasy allows you to reverse between partial lockout and full as long as all the players in the previous games weren’t touched but not SuperCoach unfortunately. I hate to break it to you but the trades you did prior to Adl vs Geel are now locked in.

          1. which is why you should use the Bye Planner to play around with your side before locking anything in … and especially when the round has commenced!!

          2. Thanks, Hutto!………I thought it was still Friday was the main lockout, these Thursday games are love-hate for me. I was happy with my trades last night, then read the Dunkley post which got me nervous.
I traded out Dunkley (midtime) /Hore (had no bench cover, and now I see scrimshaw is no certainty too now, so I’m stuffed again) for Worpel f4 and D.Moore DPP Def (for cash increase)

            1. Look on the brightside.

Dunkley going down, Hore not changing this week (Scrimshaw named too $$), Worpel and Moore both increasing.

              Could have been worse.

          1. Thanks, Macca, the moral of this story is……..when you are on 4 weeks annual leave and believe you will nail all your weekly teams and have plenty of time to dedicate to this game you have been playing for 6 years now……..It goes to show, I shouldn’t be pressing the EXPERT player button…..lol

    2. If u r doing it on your phone, I find turning it off for 5 minutes helps. It works like some kind of reset.

  2. Not sure of the exact numbers but I did see midweek that Dunkley was attending the same CBAs as last year. It’s more the fact he just wasn’t finding it enough. I’m holding.

  3. Theres a difference between not finding the footy and having a bad role. Ask yourself this. Who are you 100% confident will outscore Dunkley that you don’t already own? I wouldn’t back anyone in over him (apart from Danger and Tim Kelly who i already own). Therefor it has to be a hold. If you are trading him you are also practically saying you don’t wont him in your final team. Don’t waste a trade.

  4. I also made a trade last night to see how it looked and now, I am stuck with it!! Ouch, I did this last year too and it’s written in my ‘never again’ rules. IDIOT!

I traded Ridley OUT and L McCarthy IN, and then I read today he’s injured a cartilage in his rib and was close to not playing!

I suppose it could have been worse. Still 29 left, which is two more than this time last year!!

Good luck on the weekend y’all
