Poll – Most Pts MIDs

Written by Schwarzwalder on May 15 2019

Alza wanted to know who the Top players were in every position through the Polling Station and we’re only happy to help out………

As with the backmen, you don’t need to necessarily pick the players that were in your team from Rd1.  We’re looking for the MIDs that will bring us the most pts FROM THIS POINT ONWARDS.  Players are in order of current total pts………

Which MIDs will score the most pts from this point till seasons end? (eight choices)

  1. Was set on J Macrae this week but have changed to my favourite player J Kelly and intend on grabbing Macrae next week.

    Current mids: N Fyfe, L Neale, C Oliver, Z Merrett, R Sloane

    Mids for Rd10: J Macrae, J Kelly, N Fyfe, L Neale, C Oliver, Z Merrett and R Sloane.

M8 is reserved for P Cripps after the bye.

  2. Current Mids.
Neale Cripps Macrae Sloane Danger Steele Constable Gibbons, need 2-3 to finish this line, Dangers a chance to go fwd so probably 3.
Thinking Bont, Kelly,Oliver.Would like Steele as M9 but beggers can’t be choosers.

    1. Danger has to end up Fwd. guaranteed top3 there. I’m not sure I’d back him for Top8 MIDs.

Either way, if Danger’s fwd, you’re still gonna have a MUCH better M8 than F6. Don’t waste what’s left of him 😉

  3. Ive double upgraded on mids this week bringing in Macrae and Merret!

    Mids now look like:
Cripps, Neale, Fyfe, Macrae, Merrett, Oliver, M.Crouch, Constable

Very happy feel as i feel i have the best 6 plus M Crouch. J.Kelly, Bont, Yeo up there to compete for the last spot.

  4. +Kelly … nice to see I have the Top 5 already in place … choices seem to be fairly well grouped … looks like the differentiation this year is in the other lines..

    1. Always is isn’t it?! Especially FWD?
Remember, only one of the back half Top6 FWDs, were also Top6 in the FH of the season.

  5. Caution guys, remember new rules new roles, and the great inventor of magnets, Sheedy!!!
More mids to go forward when team is struggling.
Also, please check, but I think Cogs etc did not play when Kelly got 200+.

  6. Remember that the question in the poll is about total points, not averages. There is no way that Fyfe is going to be near the top of that list with his injury history. Even if he only misses 2 games later in the year, and averages 120 from here, he’ll still come out 30 points behind a player averaging 105 who plays every game.

Now, with decent bench cover it’s still possible to come out ahead having Fyfe instead of someone more durable but less beastly in your team (depending on just how many games he ends up missing), but that wasn’t the question the poll was asking.
