  1. Im two defenders away from having no rookies on field (one of those defenders is newman so will be a straight swap for lloyd in a coupla weeks).
But the 20 mid/premos I have include shaw, fyfe, sandy, steele and a forward I brought in last week that Im too embarrassed to name so Im far from done.

  2. 3 Premiums to go 15 trades left, 1 mid 2 defenders but defenders are Otten and Mcgrath. However i could almost put Roughy as a half though

  3. Assuming Premiums are def, fwd and ruc +90pt ave and mid +100pt ave

After this round I will have 1 more defender to upgrade with 14 trades left
*with Steele as bench cover in mid or fwd

    1. That’s some smooth moving there Marlin! I was going to say you must have low standards when considering who’s a a premo, but if you’re talking Steele a bench cover then you’re right up there.

      1. Steele also acts as my Ruck cover via dpp.
*Howe & Newman only just +90pt and Fyfe just +100pt

Ranked 723rd and hopefully continue to close in on top 100
        Team is:
Def: Adams, Laird, Williams, Howe, Newman, Berry (Stewart, Perryman)
Mid: Danger, Pendles, Rocky, Mitchell, Bont, Martin, Jelwood, Fyfe (Steele, Bolton, Pickett)
        Ruc: Sandi, Witts (Strnadica)
Fwd: Dahlhaus, Yeo, Macrae, Nankervis, Heeney, Higgins (Greenwood, Parsons).
14 trades left +$30k to get Docherty.
Bye structure all set 19, 20, 19 fingers crossed for injuries!

    2. Assuming that i am 2 to go 11 trades left, but calling it 3 to go.

I’m not averse to upgrading to Gawn if he shoes form post Rnd 14 either…

  4. Final 2 upgrades next week for full ‘premo’ 22.

Then there is just Sandilands who I would like to swap out before he crumbles in the back half of the year. Steele @ f6 and Witts @ R2 are perfectly fine in my books this year given the lack of depth/uncertainty.

This should be the make up of the squad:
DEF: Docherty, Adams, Laird, Roberton, Hibberd, Howe
MID: Dangerfield, Pendlebury, T.Mitchell, Bontempelli, Rockliff, J.Selwood, Trelaor, Fyfe
    RUC: Sandilands, Witts
FWD: Yeo, Dahlhaus, Macrae, Franklin, Nankervis, Steele

      1. Lots of points in the backline this year, decided not to skimp out. Have a nice team yourself, very jealous you’ve already got a Steele M9 swing going on.

    1. Cracking team!

I’m keeping Sandiwiits + Steele too.
I’ve just got two backs to upgrade – thinking i’ll bring in Roberton and Lloyd.

      Would leave me with:

DEF: Doc, Laird, Roberton, Shaw, Hibberd, Lloyd – Newman, Scharenberg
MID: Sloane, Danger, TMitch, Bont, Oliver, Kennedy, Treloar, Fyfe- S.Selwood, Myers, Perryman
      RUCK: Sandiwitts
FWD: Yeo, Dahlhaus, Heeney, Ryder, Nank, Steele – Greenwood, Eddy

      1. Nice! Lloyd will be too good to pass up IMO once he’s dropped. I would have Adams ahead of Roberton but it depends on your bye structure. If not, there’s always a post bye luxury upgrade of Shaw if he’s still under performing. Scooter also solid cover, I’ll be pretty thin!

        1. Yeah for some reason or another I just haven’t been able to get Adams! Definitely need to but will likely be a luxury trade after the pies bye.

All the best, that team should take you deep!

  5. 3 to go with 12 trades. However nothing in the bank but at least my rookies on field are Otten Barrett and Newman so there should be a bit of growth and easy trades. Then I can deal with my shocking Premo choices. Lookin at you Heater.

  6. 2 left assuming Roughy is a premo. I’ll say 3 though as I’m planning Rough to Gawn via Nank later.

  7. 2 (DOC and mid likely bont) , 10 trades left.

thinking it’s 4 tho, not sure about shaw and fyfe. lets see how lti’s go in the second half of the season.

    1. I dunno that you can count either as premo any more. If i say I have 2 upgrades i am counting them but newman.

  8. I wished you asked this after the bye rounds when I don’t have players scattered all over the board ๐Ÿ™‚
11 trades left, 2 Rookies on field + Shaw, Sandi, Witts & Steele…….maybe all keepers!

  9. 5 to go with 16 trades left, after this week,
Need 2 Def . using Marchbank and Otten to upgrade
Need 1 Mid . using SPP , Barrett and Myers to upgrade
Need 2 Fwd. using WHE , Parsons and Hardwick to upgrade
    Hopefully done by Rd 14

  10. I think I am full but maybe my standards are low as I don’t see many of you guys claiming full. I feel like this year premium is a loose term. Lowest averaging player is Shaw who I am committed to keeping at this point.

Def: Docherty, Adams, Hibberd, Howe, Rance, Shaw.
Mids: Danger, T Mitchell, Dusty, Murphy, Hanners, Beams, Treloar, Fyfe.
    Ruck: Sandi, Witts.
Fwd: Macrae, Dahlhaus, Nank, Buddy, Ryder, Steele.

    Rank is 87 overall

$100k in the bank that I think I will put towards cheap loophole options in each spot, Jake Lloyd etc. Could have better premiums but have always chosen the cheaper options this year. Even getting Rance this week instead of Laird, losing points most likely but saving money and suits the byes better also.

    1. Solid but I’d still be wanting Pendles, Rocky, Sloane and Duckwood in there.

      Laird too in defence.

So we’ll call it “premo-lite” then

    2. Solid line up Frankie at first glance your bye structure regarding Premo’s looks ok too! are your bench players any good?

      2

      1. Thanks mate, current bench players are Stewart and Vickers Willis, Greenwood Myers & Cousins, Hannan and Bolton. Strnadica in ruck. So probably hoping to turn these guys into fallen premiums when I can as well as perhaps minimum priced loophole guys. Yeah feeling ok during the byes at the moment

    3. Nice team. How many trades left? I think Laird in Def is a must. I’d personally get a Pendles or Sloane type as well.

      1. Down to 13 trades now. Yeah Laird is one I didn’t start with that just hasn’t come down to a good price for me. Early this week I grabbed him but then changed my mind due to the bye issues as well as the chance to keep a little bit extra cash getting Rance. I’m hoping to have trades up the sleeve to maybe trade between premos at some point as a luxury and then will eye guys like Laird, Sloane etc but do enjoy backing against the dominant popular choices sometimes. I still never pulled the trigger on Yeo despite coming close a few times.

      1. It’s weird being 87th but still 560 odd points below number 1. Doesn’t feel like it can be made up but I suppose the byes are where things get interesting. Had a week where my score was 17th best for the round which is actually deflating as 34 more points would have got me a grand if that’s still the weekly prize.

      1. Thanks mate! Been a grind all year, starting with both Hanners and Treloar like many other people made things tough so just had to dig in.

  11. 2 full rookies left for me. 4 highscoring mid-pricers like Steele and Witts also left with 14 trades remaining.
