Poll: Post Byes

Written by JimmyDee on June 22 2022

Now that those dastardly byes are behind us, many site regulars are wondering how everyone managed to navigate them and how they ended up after round 14.

The following little polls are designed to give us all a generalised idea of how many raised their ranking, how many fell, and by how much in each case. there is also huge interest in the premise of ‘full premo’ and trades for the run home. No doubt the English, Preuss and Butters scenario this round highlights the need for finite trade management and an idea of how many people think we need.

As always, the comments and strategies are as important as the information, so please jump on below and let us know your thoughts.

  1. Thought I would be full premium after this week but now have to deal with Lloyd, Butters and English.
Hopefully English plays next week and I can trade Daicos to Lloyd and be full premium before R16 with 8 trades left.

  2. Before the byes I was ranked 22,852. I am now ranked 12,066.
13 trades left with 1 boost, $303,000 in the bank
Hobbs my only rookie on field so was planning on a straight swap to Bont but I have English, Preuss, Teakle and Butters to deal with.

  3. Was 11,143rd before the byes.

Currently 2,201st after scoring 6009 over the three rounds.

Daicos and Butters are the only two I need to deal with, otherwise, sitting pretty cash (190k) and trades (7, 1 boost) wise.

  4. I said I am full premo – but that includes Ridley (D6), Petracca (M8), Preuss (R2), and my forward line has a few question marks (F5-7 – Cameron, Heeney, Butters).

If English, Butters, and Preuss need to be replaced, I’ll be hard-pressed to improve my final team (at 7 trades now, and feel I’ll need 3-4 for year-end).

  5. Ive got 10 trades and 2 boosts left, Im still one premo short (english is floating between ruck and fwd line atm) and my ruck stocks are currently english, preuss, hayes and teakle.
Tossing up whether to just hold on to preuss /english this week, cop a donut and upgrade the last premo position or whether to trade hayes and preuss to witts and jackson and field one rookie in fwd line instead.
Will need to use a boost to do this so that will leave me with 8 trades and 1 boost left with jackson being my only non premo on field when english is back.

Should add im 1 win out of the 8 in my league and languishing around 22k in rankings.

    T/u hold onto preuss
T/d ive got enough trades piss preuss off and take a gamble on jackson.

  6. Can’t take a trick this year, bad luck compounded by poor decision making. Sitting injured on my bench, with little to no price gain include
    Uwland
    Owens
    Long
    Lohmann
    Teakle
    Throw in
    Hamilton
    Rioli
And it’s any wonder that there’s no growth in the team. 7 trades left after this weeks carnage and still 3 players short of premium.
Playing with a donut this week and that’s after using my final boost.
