  2. second season this 1.. after finishing 75k overall last year, was 144k after week 1, and clueless from an NRL background..

this year I had a top 50k finish in mind and so far so good.. currently 11,118 and chuffed with myself although I’ve made some questionable decisions thus far (trading out Treloar) which I still lambast myself over.. you lot here on AFL SC talk have been a brilliant help thou as always since I was lucky enough to find this site roughly around Round 10 last season.. cheers lads, genuinely wish you all nothing but the best, you all deserve it..

  3. Sitting at 29,837. About 20,000 places behind where I have been at similar times in the past two years. Not sure if I will finish top 5,000 this year but will give it a hell of a crack.

  4. Currently at 7761, compared to 3939 at the same time last year. Happy to be in the top 10k. On same amount of trades also. Hoping I do better over the bye period this year but slightly concerned looking at my team for this week….and unfortunately don’t have a war chest of cash to rectify much. It’s going to be a bumpy few weeks. But made easier by reading everyone’s comments on this site, knowing I’m not alone, and knowing that without this site, I would be up shit creek without a paddle!

  5. 10824 at the moment, was well set for the byes but with JJK out I’m hoping Sandi and Gaz get a run out this week.

Aim is to be top 5k by the end of the byes

19 trades with 2 defenders and a mid upgrade still needed.
    Sandi/Witts too if required.
Doch, Sloane and Lloyd are the targets.
    Cash is the issue.
    Isn’t it always…

  7. 2722 currently cf about 3k last year. Used 15 trades to this point last year, and 11 this year.

Bye strategy for round 11 was to have most of my downgrades cover it, and upgrade them for 12 and 13, but thanks to them not playing anymore (Balic, Hampton, Butler, McInnes, Durdin) I’m looking at three big holes of Krispys ATM.

  9. 5140. Just outside the top 5000 this week. Expect to be well inside it this time next week with a full 22 on the park and a plethora of vc/c options.

    1. Last year about this stage i was in the mid 7000’s. Got up to about 2700 at the end of the byes, and finished about 5000 overall despite little to no internet for the last few weeks in cape york.

  10. Top 5 k. This year, much better result than this time last year, a way lot tougher now the expansion teams and Essendon have now settled. This site is invaluable and really has ‘straighten me up’with Premium thinking. In years gone past I would’ve axed the underperforming premo’s only to miss out on their last half revival, Joelwood comes to mind in year’s gone past and Treloar this year.To think that this years current number 1 ranked player has actually lost money to date goes to show that there is an art to this game and always bargains out there!

  11. 32,443. This is easily my worst SC year, including my first year where I had no idea what I was doing! Just one of those years where I can only laugh at my luck.

Of my 13 completed trades so far, 5 were for injured players, 5 were for rookies who played 1 or 2 games early in the year then were never to be seen again, and 3 were legit trades to upgrade/downgrade. Some of these were risks I took and had to cop a forced trade (O’Meara, Beams) but the rest were just unlucky.

  12. finished 1409 last year, currently sitting 3610, i didn’t have a plan for byes last year, looking good atm, in the end it will come down to LTI’s in the second half of the year, i’ve been pretty heavy on the trade button. Tho next week i have no planned trades.

  13. Due to running out of trades around Round 18 last year I entered this year with a strategy to avoid midpricers and injury prone players and select the most durable and consistent supercoach scorers. The usual luck has eventuated with 2017 being the year for speculative mid pricers, injury prone players and perennial midpricers scoring at premium rates. This has caused my current rank of 56,065 but as the 1986 Yazz song states “The only way is up”. Last week was my first time over 2200 (dipped below 2000 twice) and will be targeting entering the top 35,000 by the end of the byes.

Trades have had to be used to rid my side of poor rookie selections such as Pickett, Florent, Eddy, M Hibberd, M Hannan coupled with my awful trade of Riewoldt to Goldstein in Rd 2 thus moving Witts to R3. Only premiums that I have been brought in is Franklin (RD6), Steele (RD5) and Bontempelli (RD9).

  14. It’s my 4th season playing supercoach and was aiming to finish in top 10K this year..

Thanks to SCT and all the coaches, I am ranked 418 at the moment.

Few bold decisions I’ve made after reading what coaches had to say on this website
    1. Sandiwitts combo and Nank as ruck cover
    2. Starting with T. Adams

    and the list goes on…

Without SCT , not sure what my rank would have been…

Will be an average bye period for me I’m afraid, as I’ve thrown caution to the wind this year!

Will keep upgrading hard for the next 3 weeks then hang on for the run to the finish

Later, I’ll go into excruciating detail about my horrific my start to the year – let’s call it “a learning experience”. But right now, I’ve moved up nearly 20,000 spots in the past two weeks, and Supercoach suddenly seems moderately fun again!
