Poll – Replacing Sloane

Written by Schwarzwalder on August 23 2016

Rory Sloane has thrown a spanner in the works with his late spoil on Brad Ebert, being suspended for the Supercoach Grand Final.  I’m assuming you all have Danger, Pendles and Hanners already.  So who else will go large in the MID for the SC Grand Final?  Who are the best replacements for Rory Sloane? Your best three, please……..

Which MID will score highest this week? (three choices)

  1. There’s really no bad choices there, except Hodge. Nobody likes Hodge, unless you’re a Hawks fan – and who cares about them?
Brought in Cripps a month ago, possibly the only good move I made all year.

  2. schwarz a couple of weeks ago you convinced me to trade sheil instead of crouch as you said Thomson was out which would boost bcrouch scores – which it did. Do you now think with Sloane out that it will have the same affect. I was planning on trading out crouch this week but will obviously be trading out Sloane.

    1. Hey FC, Gotta move Sloane on this week. If you can manage it, maybe loophole B.Crouch on the Friday night. Get a good look at his score……

      1. I do have two trades and 296000 in bank
Ahh I like your thinking. Trade Sloane out for Cripps/Neale/Bont
Put crouch as e if he scores well then leave macpherson on field otherwise I can move Phillips on field or I could upgrade him. Would have between 464000 and 500000 depending on who first trade was.
All goes well with crouches score then I can upgrade Bartel or whitecross to anyone in backline

  3. Can’t afford bont, cripps or rocky as have $560k so tossing up between jpk, neale, selwood, treloar or a roughy in gibbs vs bombers.
Safest move is neale as my opponent has him.

    1. Neale at home vs a Bulldogs team that doesn’t tag is the safest bet.
However Gibbs did score 130 vs the Bombers in Round 6 (though Cripps wasn’t playing that day).

If you feel confident in beating your opponent then go Neale but if you could do with a solid POD for the win then go Gibbs.

        1. JPK is a solid choice too. Although he didn’t play against the Tigers earlier this season he scored 114 and 118 in 2015 and 2014 respectively.

It’s a toss of a coin really. Both are capable of a huge score on their day.

Go with your gut feeling I say!

  4. I’ve already told MJ I’m bringing in Robbie Gray for our cash league GF. Great week last week and I’m expecting big things against the witches hats.

    1. it was a legitimate attempt to spoil but it was a tad late / reckless. He split Ebert open just below the eye but I dont think a cut in that area requires to much impact tbh.

  5. Have a dilemma this week as i brought Nic Nat in for Blicavs last week…. 🙁
Have the single trade left, so do I:

T/U: Replace Nic Nat and play Phillips in midfield
T/D: Replace Sloane and play Naismith in Ruck

  6. unfortunately My replacement for Sloane is one of two options. R Davis or T Phillips. I really hope R Davis plays well this week! At least i can loophole!

  7. My opponent has Sloan with Menagola as first emergency. Menagola scored 130+ last week and Ade play Wce this week. Ironically this suspension may strengthen my opponents line up. It’s a strange game at times.
