Poll – Wingin’ It

Written by Schwarzwalder on July 9 2018

Slats was the first to use the Polling Station this week. He’d like to know whether it’s worth bringing in Chad Wingard?

‘Is Chad Wingard worth trading for?

MID/FWD at $469,300 with a 5 round average of 107.8’

What say you, Coaches?

Is it worth bringing in WIngard for the last seven weeks?

  1. Picked Wingers up at 375k over the Byes trading him in for Spargo.
Not sure I would pay 469k for him though , but his average over the last 5 Rounds suggests he is still a decent option.

      1. I was a bit later than you guys – brought him in @ 395k.
Has been pretty handy as my M9/F7 the past couple weeks, especially with Heeney out this weekend.

  2. I think if you think his scoring will continue, which it definitely could then he’s a very good F6. I started him last year due to his low price and he really started to show he could dominate a game in the midfield late in the season (even scoring a 157) before having some injury problems. The problem is his lack of consistency from season to season and within seasons and also the possibility he might be moved back to the forward line. To show you his inconsistency here are his past averages.

    2013 98.6
    2014 79.9
    2015 97.8
    2016 80.8
    2017 93.0
    2018 83.4

  3. Just for the record, I got “The Chad” at $375k… but I voted no to paying $469k

Just for the record, if Buddy Franklin has a average game this week v Nth / Scotty Thompson…..he will be around $400k next week, I know which one I’d want for the ceiling factor going into SC finals!

    1. As a North supporter please don’t say Buddy, Scotty Thompson and average game in the same sentence. Many of us are still suffering lingering effects of Buddy’s “THIRTEEN, THIRTEEN”.

      1. Lol

I was actually in the Gold Coast on a annual golf trip watching that game, RB! I don’t think the likes of Dench, Doull, Moore, Silvani or Southby would of stopped Buddy that day!

Huddo was in his element in the box too!

        1. I was at a pub watching it. Only reason I kept watching in the second half was cause you could tell it was going to be a massive bag for Buddy.

    2. Buds seriously struggling & theres no upside in sight , he’s a loose ball player , amazing when he gets it uncontested , but just not gettn the quality feed he needs this year , Hanners & Parker are having their worst seasons since they became premos & its been a steady decline for the best part of 2 yrs now , Kennedys spendn all his time in & under & the other guys like Hewitt , Jack & Jones are far from elite disposers of the ball , an avg of 95 is pretty impressive this year from the big guy considering the ball coming in , but I think his 3 rd avg 75 is more like what we can expect for the rest of the season ..

  4. Bought him in 2 weeks back, been good. Lambert as well a few weeks ago, good player in a great side, sees plenty of the ball.

  5. Am trading hibberd this week.
I will be swinging Sicily back to my defence and grabbing the chad at F6. His average at that price beats any defender I can get.
    Very happy with this move.

I can’t see Hinkley changing a winning formula so chad should continue to play midfield… well I hope so anyway!
