Roo Bloke asked the question in the Polling Station and we’re only happy to help……..
RB already has an eye on SuperCoach 2020 and I’m sure he’s not the only one. Here’s a few positional changes he can already fore-see……..
‘A few spring to mind immediately:
Marshall to ruck
T Kelly, Boak and Whitfield to mids
Moore to lose DPP and become just def
Could Ablett be just fwd?’
What do you think, Coaches? Which changes can you see being made for 2020?

J.Dunkley MID
Same goes for Boak and T. Kelly.
Rowan Marshall – RUC
Caleb Daniel – DEF
Trying to be optimistic here, but maybe, maybe Mitch Duncan to get def/mid? Has played a bit off halfback this year.
Otherwise, I can’t see any viable players gaining DPP status, unfortunately. 2020 is going to be a great challenge for Supercoach.
Maybe Whitfield DEF/MID at a squeeze?!
Whitfield at this stage should still get DEF but could definitely lose it other the next few weeks, Z.Williams some slight chance of being a DEF/FWD.
Esava at Geelong FWD/RUC, Danger a decent chance to lose FWD.
I know it was talked about a few years ago & nothing happened but is there a chance SC might introduce a Wing position?
After Menegola and Tim Kelly got random fwd status this season I’ve got no idea about Geelong.
Menegola usually lines up on the HFF flank though, I can see why he kept his mid/fwd DPP.
Little to no chance of that Chillo. Duncan lines up on the wing 8/10 times. He slightly drifts across the half back but thats not his position.
He started at the back of the square (more half back) last year more than he has this year.
Dusty fwd, on the couch put up his fwd/mid split the other night and pretty sure he has been playing over the 35% threshold for DPP . If he keeps that up he should be a fwd/mid (barring CD meddling)
So if he continues his ‘sub-par’ scores again next year (i.e. around the 100-mark), Dusty will be a great forward option!
Billings and Gresh both MID/FWD
dont think Billings will get FWD status
Milera DEF/MID/FWD ?!?
Would be nice, but the 35% threshold is there specifically to prevent TPP’s
Gaz will most likely be FWD-only, if he plays on.
Do we think Danger will keep his DPP next year?
For the tigers:
Sydney Stack def/mid
Shai Bolton forward/mid
Maybe:
Balta Fwd/Ruck.
Chol Fwd/Ruck
Had a look into heatmaps I’ve come up with the following;
If theres any players you want me to check give me a yell
Mid: Dunkley, Boak, T.Kelly, Whitfield, Billings, Worpel, Mundy, Whitfield, Z.Jones, Robinson, Lipinski
Def: Daniel, Weller, Moore, Armitage
Ruck: Marshall, Lycett
Fwd: Gaz, Finlayson, Naughton
Mid/Fwd: Dusty, Macpherson, Zibell, Mcluggage, Westhoff, Gibbons, Greene, D.Cuningham
Mid/Def: Zaharakis, Newnes, I.Smith, Mayne, Milera, B.Smith
Fwd/Fwd: Casboult
Roughies:
Mid/Fwd: Zorko
Def/Mid: Duncan
Wow, great work.
Duncan’s definitely been pushing back this year and playing more on the outside. He’d be a lock if he was def/mid.
If the Clugg gets forward DPP, he’s a certain starter for me!
Likewise was going to start him this year if he was dpp =[
Levi with the rare fwd/fwd dpp status.
Will darcy parish keep his dpp or move to a mid only? If he remains a mid/fwd i might jump on board
Ed Curnow could be given mid/fwd status
For Port 2020
Dougal Howard Def/Fwd
Dan Houston Def/Mid
Jack Watts Def/Fwd?? – how does it work for players that only play one game?
