Punters Club – Bonsai

Written by Motts on May 12 2017

Bonsai is up for the Punters Club this week. Here’s what he likes:
 AFL Multi #1 – $20 @ TBA
West Coast Eagles: 1-39
St Kilda: 40+
Richmond: 40+

AFL Multi #2 – $20 @ TBA
Geelong Cats: Line
Adelaide Crows: Line
Port Adelaide: Line
Richmond: Line

EPL Multi #1 (bolded team to win) – $20 @ TBA
Everton v Watford
Bournemouth v Burnley
Sunderland v Swansea City
Middlesbrough v Southampton

Andy B is also back for another go-round. Rather than punt the entire $120 I gave him he’s requested to only punt $60 (which means he banked $167.20 last week). Normally I don’t allow $5 bets (we recently implemented a $10 minimum rule) but on this one occasion I’m going to overlook it seeing as he was such a good winner for us last week.
Big Winner Singles
Dogs beat WC by 40+ – $5 @ 10
Bris beat Hawks by 40+ – $5 @ 51

    1. Bonsai’s bets are on. I’m just a little busy to go in and work out what the odds are and then update the post. If they get up, I’ll publish the winnings and if anyone needs photographic evidence I’ll publish screen shots from my phone. I can tell you that the estimated returns for each of them are in order: $351.75, $266.17 and $205.55.

    1. Not so confident this week. But just need one freek result and we’ll be up. If we get 2 come up we’ll be laughing! Doggies by 40+ did not look likely last night.

Both Bonsai and myself got over the WC v WB hurdle in the first leg of our respective multi’s which is certainly a good start.

        1. I hope you were cheering them on as much as i was Mutley!! I loved that last goal for the Dee’s with 30 seconds to go.
I was in two minds when Otten had two gettable goals in the last 5 minutes – wanted the SC points, but wanted our PC + 40 bet to also get up!

          1. Yeah, i was cursing Otten, his second miss couldn’t have been further away if he tried! It was only after that, that i remembered your bet, and to see that one dribble through at the end was fantastic!

  1. Unbelievable!! Melbourne beat the the Crows by 41 points, you little beauty!! $ 5 at @ $36 nets us $ 180 and we are still in the two multi’s: –

    AFL Multi 1 @ $ 5 stake
    Melb the line
North v Swans either team <15.5 points
GC v Port either team <15.5 points
WC v WB either team <15.5 points

    AFL Multi 2 @ $ 5 the stake
WC v WB either team <15.5 points
    Melb the WIN
North v Swans either team <15.5 points
GC v Port either team <15.5 points

We need to cheer on close games (either team to win by less than 16 points) in the North v Swans and also Gold Coast v Port games and we'll be laughing (i suspect returns would be around $250 and $ 650 respectively for Multi's 1 & 2..
Mott's, not sure if WH / Sportingbet offer it, but if the PC fancy it, a 'cash out' option may be worth taking on the larger bet as we'd still collect on the other one if it does win..

      1. Thanks mate. Might be getting a permanent gig if we get a few more wins!
I live in Adelaide & have been telling Crows fans all week that the Dee’s will beat them. Now for a remainder of the 40+ bets or the multi’s to come off (however, after GC’s delays getting over to China i now have a feeling that Port will beat GC by 40+ to stuff us up on the multi’s).

    1. Cash out value on multi 2 is $66.71. Potential winnings are $745.36. No cash out offer on Multi 1.

      Great stuff, AB.

  2. Swans win by 42 gets us another $35 collect. Takes me to $215 to go with Bonsai’s cracking multi collect of $205. $420 from our combined $120 stake is a great result for the PC.
After two good 1st legs, no good on my 2 multi’s after Port & Swans big wins.

  3. Bonsai bagged $205.55. Andy B snaffled $215.

We’ll bank $85.55 of Bonsai’s winnings and give him $120 to go around with again this week. I’ll assume Andy B only wants another $60 next week so we’ll bank $155 of his winnings.

Joining them this week will be the man I spent Saturday afternoon at the footy with: Davo.

    1. Great Motts, yep, happy with $60 for myself to maximise how much we bank. I’ll get researching on some good roughies for the weekend! Hopefully Bonsia, Dave & myself can carry on the recent great form for the PC.
