Punters Club – Deano

Written by Motts on October 22 2013

Deano’s not a big Cox Plate fan (I think its Moonee Valley) so he’s getting in early this week and throwing a few on Geelong tomorrow. Here’s what he likes:

Geelong R5 #12 The Investor $5 EW @ Best Fluc – SCRATCHED
Geelong R6 #7 Morant (Former West Aussie with great fresh record) $5 EW @ BF – SCRATCHED
Geelong R7 #5 Brigantin (Lets hope Carey can get him back on track unlike Ethiopia) $5 EW @ BF
Prepost Derby bet on Dark Thunder before his hopeful Classic win $5 EW @ $31 the win (not running ’til 2/11/13, now paying $15 fixed)
Geelong R8 # 14 Danestroem $5 EW @ BF – SCRATCHED

UPDATE

After more than a few scratchings on Wednesday, Deano had another $100 to bet with. He’s not mucking around with each way stuff anymore. Here’s what he’s gone:

Friday
MR8 Moment of Change $10W @ Best Fluc
MR4 Flexi Tri 1,2/1,2/3-13 $10 buys 45.45%
SR3 and 6 Abraham Lincoln into Faustus $10W @ $21 Fixed

Saturday
MR1 Beau Rada $10W @ Best Fluc
MR3 Go The Knuckle $10W @ Best Fluc
MR6 Ruud Awakening $10W @ $19 Fixed
MR8 Blackie $10W @ BT + 5%
MR10 Happy Trails $10W @ Best Fluc

  2. It has been a lucrative week, let’s hope this form continues this weekend. Here are my Bundesliga tips:

** Bayern Munich (1.10 or 1.30 to win by two goals or more) – Right at this minute, they are the best team in Europe. If anyone watched Barcelona playing with Pep Guardiola as coach (14 titles in four years), it’s easy to see his impact on this Munich side. They are just so dominant. The opposition finds it hard to score because Munich are usually in possession around 70% of the time. They have won 5/5 at home this year. Haven’t lost at home (in any competition) for a year. Have only lost three games at home over the last three seasons…..they will destroy Hertha Berlin. SIDENOTE: Best team in Europe are currently around 4.00 to win the Champions League. Those odds will only go down from here on in.

** Leverkusen (1.50) – In the end they were lucky to win last week, with the ‘winning’ goal finding its way through a hole in the side net. That game will most likely be replayed. Regardless of that result, they are undefeated at home this year (four wins and a draw from five games) and are playing an Augsburg side that struggles away. They warmed up for this game with a 4-0 over Donetzk in the Champions League during the week.

** Hannover (2.30) – Very underrated side, they have cemented a spot in the middle of the table over the last four years. In that time they have rarely been beaten at home. Unbeaten from five games there this season, they should account for Hoffenheim this week despite injury worries up forward. Very unlucky in Dortmund last week (0-1), and Dortmund accounted for Arsenal on Tuesday night, good form!!

** Mönchengladbach (2.00) – Just a different side at home. Four from four so far this season and gave Dortmund their only loss (2-0) this year. Their opponents Frankfurt are undefeated in Europa League but finding it tougher in Bundesliga having drawn their last four matches. Gladbach should just get up in a close one.

    Good luck to everyone!!

  4. Blank!

Moment Of Change a certainty beaten in the Manikato after missing the start by two and Happy Trails just failing to run down the first maiden ever to win the Cox Plate.

Some massive “be on me next time” runs amongst the others too however lets face it, I fooked up!!!

  6. Just spoke to a bloke who is generally on the money. He has tipped me the J Oshea 4 yo Kingdoms in the Lexus on Saturday currently 15.00.
If you want to back it get on early in the week to snap up better odds. The word is the favourite Sea Moon won’t win had a hard hit out as they are preparing it for the cup.

  7. Very true about Sea moon Deano. However if you backed Kingdoms before final acceptances in all in markets before withdrawals of Sea Moon, Precedence and Forgotten Voice you got the 15.00 and not the 9.00 on offer now.
Also stable reports Jetaway is primed for the MacKinnon however it is generally not a day for favourites.
