Punters Club – Pogue Mahone

Written by Motts on April 11 2015

Footy and golf. I like the way Pogue bets. Here’s what he’s on:

AFL Multi
GWS outright into;
Port < 39.5 into;
Hawthorn >39.5
$10 @ 7.01

Richmond v The Doggies
Martin most possessions in Group A
$2.50 @ 5.50
Bonts most possessions in Group B.
$2.50 @ 3.50
Bonts for first goal
$5 @ 26.00.

US Masters
Mickelson outright
$5 @ 31.00
Jason Day outright
$5 @ 6.00

William Hill Bonus Bet
Geelong v Fremantle
Geelong to win
$40 @ 2.05

Meanwhile Deano & Mutts rejoin us with $60 each to play with. Mutts will get his bets to me on Sunday while Deano has gone with a hero/villain bet:

Randwick R9 – The Queen Elizabeth
#2 Criterion to WIN
$60 @ BT + 5%

Deano’s a goddamned hero!

Here’s Mutley’s winners:

Multi 1

Southampton (England)
Tottenham (England)
Arsenal (England)
Wolfsburg (Germany)
Juventus (Italy)

$20 @ 9.59

Multi 2

Leverkusen (Germany)
Augsburg (Germany)
Athletico Madrid (Spain)

$10 @ 10.78

Trixie Bet on:
Aintree R2 – Gods Own
Aintree R3 – Cole Harden

  1. I remember you were keen on Criterion in last year’s Cox Plate, Deano. Hopefully he’s found his right race at Randwick today. Best of luck to you, Mutts and Pogue to keep this winning run going!

  2. All the best fella’s, been having a good run Deano. No more weekend work so be enjoying the footy and a few bets.

  3. Criterion paid $5.51 for the win meaning Deano just cleared $330.90 for the Punters Club. His first words to me after I called him were: “how easy was that?”

  4. This is a great on going punting performance Deano. Can’t believe I ever doubted knowing roughie punters are the most dangerous.
Great stuff 4 weeks running and now the biggest winning punter in the club!

  5. The wash up from the weekend’s bets:
    Deano returned $330.90
Mutley returned $0 (thanks for making the club $160 last week Mutts!)
Pogue returned $0 (its not as easy as it looks, Pogue, better luck next time mate)

We’ll bank $230.90 of Deano’s winnings and give him a greenback to play with this week. See what he can do with that. Having now banked $740 for the club he is by far and away our most successful punter ever taking the mantle from Andy B who chipped in a very respectable $433 last year. Can Deano make it to 4 figures?

Joining him at the plate this week will be Davo.

    Go get ’em boys!

In terms of our group bet, I didn’t get a lot of interest from the Club so I’m just going to put it on a sure thing each week and keep rolling it over until we either lose it or it turns into something significant.

This week’s sure thing is either:
Adelaide to beat Melbourne at the Adelaide Oval (currently paying 1.10)
Sydney to beat GWS at the SCG (currently paying 1.10)
Geelong to beat the Suns at Kardinia (currently paying 1.20)

Or I could multi the three up (paying 1.45)

    Let me know your thoughts.
