Punters Club Wrap Up – PC19

Written by Motts on June 9 2020

PC19 came to a close over the weekend and after starting with $1,900 we finished 20% down with $1,519 in the bank.

To be honest, I’m not that unhappy with the result given that many of our punters had to bet on something they usually wouldn’t – the horses – because that was all that was available during the pandemic.

In only his second run for the club, Weendog took out the award for largest amount won with $221 returned from $220 staked. Perennial champion Yiorgakis returned $200 from $136 staked winning him best return. Great job by both fellas.

At the other end of the scale, we had 7 of our 19 punters come through with nil returns. I’ve conducted some analysis on our overall results since beginning the Punters Club and from PC20 on there’ll be much higher scrutiny of those with large negative returns. There are certainly some blokes that need to pull their socks up.

I’ll top up the bank to $1,520 so that each punter will get $80 to play with in PC20. That will also be the cash out and buy in figure.

Applications are now open for anyone that wants to join. If you’re interested, send an email to Motts at supercoachtalk dot com and I’ll explain how it all works and give you my bank details. Applications close at midday on Wednesday this week.

  1. Thanks for the wrap Mottsy. I definitely need to pull my socks up after 2 negative returns in a row!

  2. Thanks mate!

Being employed in sports management I understand the level of commitment you make in this space from a logistic and administrative perspective. Dealing with TDA so often must be an almost insurmountable challenge!

      1. One thing is for sure Deano is that Motts has not had to deal with me much at all over the last few Punters Club instalments as I have failed to deliver.

I have actually put myself on notice.
