Good things to punt on this week:

  • EPL
  • Caulfield Cup
  • NFL
  • MLB
  • Goddard ending up at the Blues

Anyone got anything else?

  1. Tip for Caulfield tomorrow: Race 2 – Rolling Zone

It opened today at 4.40 fixed and it’s currently at 4 bucks, so I would get on soon.

  2. Ok, I’ve had a look at the EPL for this weekend. I’ve tried to find some value in the bets and have come up with the following:

    EVERTON (Handicap +2.0) – Handicap Result (-2)
    CHELSEA vs EVERTON
    1.75
Everton seem to be Chelseas Bogey team and think that Everton are in with a chance of pulling this one off. Chelsea have only beaten Everton in 1 of their last 10 meetings.

First Half – Highest Scoring Half
WEST BROMWICH ALBION vs WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS
    3.10

Yes – Both Teams to Score
    WIGAN ATHLETIC vs BOLTON WANDERERS
    1.69
    Both teams defences are shocking

    Over (2.5) – Under / Over 2.5
    NORWICH CITY vs SWANSEA CITY
    2.01
Think this will actually be an open and entertaining game. Finger crossed.

MANCHESTER CITY | Win to Nil – YES – Win to Nil – (HOME)
    MANCHESTER CITY vs ASTON VILLA
    2.20
Man City have won all of their home games to nil so far, and Aston Villa while haven’t lost YET, are not really scoring for fun. Man city have way to much firepower up front.

Yes – Both Teams to Score
    LIVERPOOL vs MANCHESTER UNITED
    1.66
There were a number of bets one could take on this. I think I went with the safest bet. Could probably go for the OVER 2.5 as well on this, and for an exotic bet, for there to be a red card in this match! But kept it safe 🙂

First Half – Highest Scoring Half
    STOKE CITY vs FULHAM
    @3.15
A low scoring game ( unless I’m wrong about Fulham again like last time where they not only won away to QPR but also score 6! ). But stoke are pretty sound defensively at home. The longer the game goes, the harder it will get for fulham to score.

On a side note, what does everyone think about the RWC semi’s this weekend? I’m thinking Wales and Australia (hoping) final.

  4. Mottsy’s Caulfield Quaddie:
R7/ 1,2,3,5,7,8,9,10,12,13 (pretty sure you’ll get off to a winning start with these)
    R8/ 1,5,9,16,18
R9/ 1,3 (More Joyous has 6 starts at this distance for 6 wins and 2 starts at CAUL for 2 wins – almost went 1 out with her)
    R10/ 1,2,3,4,8

  5. Lucas Cranach (5) wins but that’s small potatoes, take my trifecta 5-18-9 straight out BANG! Cya in the queue!

    Other things I like R3 #1, R6 #3, R10 #8

    Happy Punting!

  6. Rugby World Cup final, below are money in the bank bets I reckon

NZ at the line minus 16.5 points at $1.92
NZ to win both halves at $1.51
NZ to score first lead at the half and win at $1.67
NZ to score first at $1.54

Putting $50 on each leg can’t see France getting close in any of the above bets should clear about $130
