If this is Thursday, it must be time for a punting post. Here’s my tips for the week. Multi ’em up as you please. Or don’t. Completely up to you.
Today I’ll be using the odds supplied by Centrebet – one of the few betting agencies offering $1.01 on WC this week. They also offer a pretty unique pick-your-own-line service which a lot of the bets below utilise.
Carlton v Collingwood (MCG) – Carlton -19.5 – $2.71 (yes I’m THAT confident)
Richmond v Melbourne (MCG) – Richmond 25+ – $1.88
Port v Sydey (FP) – Port +30.5 – $1.44
Fremantle v Brisbane (S) – Freo -44.5 – $1.91
Essendon v Gold Coast (C) – Essendon -58.5 – $1.91
St Kilda v Western Bulldogs (D) – St Kilda -12.5 – $1.91
West Coast v GWS (B) – WC -110.5 – $2.10
Hawthorn v Adelaide (MCG) – Adelaide +35.5 – $1.67
Geelong v North (D) – Geelong -19.5 – $1.49
What are your best bets for this round?

I’ll try to double up again, R1 & R2 winnings into

Yay up. Nay down.
Port to beat Sydney Motts? Bit early for drinking isn’t it mate?
Port can loose by up to 30 points Big Russ and the bets still good
Betting agencies give you the option of line betting
Example Hawks -35.5 means they must win by at least 36 for the bet to be good
Example Port -30.5 means Port can win and Port can also loose by up to and including 30 points for the bet to be good
Hope that’s helps BigRuss

Haven’t crunched the numbers yet Juddy. It will be something like only having 4 or 5 lines for almost certainties like Bombers, Freo, Eagles, Tigers and maybe Saints/Cats, and simpler bets like head to head or smaller points to the line. I’ll post it later.
Which team is more likely to get up by 40 points or more:

Comment for who to trade with
My betting season this year has gone thus:
Had Carlton in Rnd 1 at a margin – goal on the siren blew the bet
Had a two leg multi in Rnd 1 that involved a North win – McIntosh misses after the siren and i blew the bet
Had another individual bet in Rnd 1 that involved a North win – McIntosh misses after the siren and i blew the bet
Had a 10 leg multi last week (7 footy legs, 2 US Masters legs, 1 cricket leg) – miss the Collingwood leg by a goal
Time to reassess, restock, reload and place a few sure fire bets this week to make sure i get the feeling of a win.
Rough trot Roo Bloke! I had a 6 leg $22 multi on last week busted by Freo losing by 2 points too many, thats the problem with playing the margins.
This week im thinking Adelaide (1-39pts) @ $5.20 to upset Hawthorn (WHAT!? right?) but hear it out. Adelaide have the “early in year form” on top of a 6 to 8 day break against Hawthorn after a tough loss to Geelong. Round 1 last year Adelaide put Hawthorn away by 20 points at AAMI and yes Hawks are being touted as Premiership Favourites but I think they may drop a couple games like this their “expected to win”. Could be my worst bet of the year………..or best.
Best value = the Doggies surely……
Richmond @ 1.25
Fremantle 15.5+ @ 1.20
Essendon -28.5 @ 1.23
West Coast -24.5 @ 1.04
Hawthorn @ 1.20
Odds of 2.30 to get my tipping season back on track – hopefully
LUCKY PUNTER
ONE TAB Sportsbet punter would be still counting his lucky stars, and his money following three remarkable multi bets during the week.
“The punter had three separate multi bets parting with $350 on a five leg soccer multi at odds of $194.06 and pocketed a thumping $67,921,” TAB
Things went from good to great for the punter as he then hit two other multi’s that he had taken with those selections as the anchor hitting a $100 multi at $300.80 for a $30,080 collect and a further $75 at $250.72 to collect $18,804.
“All up the punter outlaid $525 and walked away with $116,805, not bad considering that two of his winners scored injury time goals to get him the cash,” Hamilton said
ahhhh the benifit of multis.
