R10 Round-up

Written by Motts on May 30 2010

There’s plenty of blokes I want to give shout outs to this week: Goddard, Gibbs, GAJ, J Selwood, Basti and Pods are all first in line.

At the other end of the spectrum are Higgins and ROK. Both will be running extra laps this week on the training track. C’mon boys, lift!!

  1. Fyfe, again he delivers the goods. what a superb supersub he’s turning out to be!

Shout outs to Fisher, Pendlebury and of course the Juddster!

Pissed off with Jackson Trengrove, but the whole Port team was shite, so it wasn’t just him.

  2. Love: My midfield: GAJ, Selwood, Pendles, Judd, Mitchell and a cameo call up off the bench for Bastinac (Barlow)

Loathe: My forwardline: JBrown (getting better but not enough), Higgins, Hitchcock (damn shoulder), Watts (clearly I am an idiot for putting you on the ground instead of Rockliff… need to learn some patience!)

Disappointing trade: Kennelly for Gilbee… I’m sure I’m not alone!

  3. Loved the work of Sammy Mitchell… starting to string some good scores together, my midfield in general performed well.
Happy with the Yarran for Goodes trade, imagine if Goodes had kicked straight what he might have scored, hang on know I don’t the Hawks would have lost and that wouldn’t be good.
Big Sandi has dropped off the last couple, bloody Kepler Bradley or maybe looking for the mid season break after the mountain of work he has done in the first 10 weeks.

  6. i have love for the usual suspects: goddard, hodge, ablett, selwood, judd

i am all out of love for brown, o’keefe and harvey. i played watts on the field, which was a mistake. however i lay the blame on the selectors (me) as opposed to the player.

fun fact – i traded tippett for the all conquering sandilands a few weeks ago. since then sandi has averaged 87 and tippett has averaged 93.5.

all those that held onto tippett can thank me now.

  7. Gold; Goddard, Hodge, Jesus, Swan, Pendlebury, Judd, NDS, jPOD & Ballantyne, Webberly & Rohan.
Stoning; Barlow, That projected score rubbish that didn’t work, ROK, Higgins, Reg, Eski, Harbrow, Waters & Gia.

  8. Michael Freaking Barlow, cost me big time. I think it is a negative of Super Coach that you cannot have 4 emergencies. There is always one line that you do no have cover in so there is always a chance of a donut on that one line where you can’t have an emergency. Surely this needs to be rectified.

Apart from that whinge, I finally traded a player in that actually did something thank you Sam Gilbert (in for Kennelley).

The Good – The usuals, Hodge, Ablett, Goddard etc but a shout out to Dustin Martin well done in the wet lad.

The Bad – The Swans – Grundy, Malceski and O’Keefe. average between them 57.

The Ugly – Shaun Higgins, need to lift for me son.

Not: too many to mention but top of the list is Higgins – not good enough after a week off

with my cash in the bank i can get ANY midfielder barring chapman..?
    who should i get?
My current mid is Ablett, Swan, Del Santo, Gibbs, Barlow, Scully.

I was thinking about Hayes, watson, murphy, boyd?

      1. Me too, plus Carrazzo a week ago, plus ROK this week. Three trades not living up to their reputation. They better come good at the important end!

    1. Here here. He was my premium upgrade from Bastinac a week ago, and he’s done me proud.

    1. The three emergency system is intended to replicate the real AFL where clubs are only allowed three, not four.

I assume most people do like i do and not have an emergency in the rucks as simple mathematics means tells us you are more likely to have a late withdrawal in the other three lines where there are greater number of players.

      1. unless u had brogan!
But really why do teams have to name unfit players on the field. I mean freo could have named barlow on the extended bench so that the punters can appreciate that he might miss. All the ducks and drapes with selection is just bullshit

      1. 2009. Had no coverage in the midfield for the first time all year for Barlow. Plus my team is full of underperforming guns like Higgins, ROK, Brown, Reg. Was really happy with my rookies who added much needed value. Won’t score highly til Kennelly and Gram come back and I can make my final few upgrades.
        Oh, and Richmond won.

    1. why not, hes gonna get a game and the way freo are going, moving the ball on quickly and direcly, a tall versatile player like him, he could be a winner. at worst his price will take-off with his recent scores which will have u better placed than sticking with nicnat….

      1. yeah that what i was thinking… and his average plus the fact he is gonna score well means he is gonna get too around coxs price very quickly!

        and i allready have sandilands

        thanks!!

        1. Just be warned that Kepler’s been “gonna” since going top ten in 2003.
If he gets to the same price as Cox at anytime this year I will use my influence to force Motts to change the name of this site.
