R11 Over

Written by Duck on June 10 2013

It almost feels like finals when the weekends footy is reduced by a few games. How’d you go? Was the result what you were expecting or did you get a nice / not so nice surprise?

  1. 2087 if my maths are correct.
Happy to get over 2k but I’m guessing there will be a few 2200+

Hope to get back into the top 1000

  2. feel just short of 2200, will be in the top thousand, not bad considering I was 15.000th 5 weeks ago

What a shocker, playing Webster, Saunders and Crouch! Currently ranked 192nd, will definitely be letting people sprint by me! FMSC

Really happy with that score considering I had only 17 scoring players on field. That big fat JJK donut is annoying, but oh we’ll had a pretty good round besides that. Only disappointments were JJK (0), JPK (86) and Boomer (74).

  6. 2117…won’t complain about that! Although I will wonder what if Watson, Stanton & Hibberd played up to potential

  9. scored 1882. thought that it would be a reasonable score despite poor scores from watson, danger, kennedy x2, crouch, saunders and jacobs.
looking on here im clearly wrong. 1882 is going to be a very low score.
2/3 league wins though which i guess is all that matters at this point

  11. 1981/Pendulbery/

Change the captain from Swan – Pendulbery in the last minute just because of how consistent Pendels is but then again Swan has demolished Melbourne in rescent years. I would of scored……………………….2013! haha

  12. 2029

Stoked at the score since I had Cotch, Maric, Dusty, Ellis, Vlastuin, Fyfe, Buddy, Rockliff all out.
Also stoked at trading Mitchell and Ball into the team.
Only issue was losing to Catta in LoEC1.

  13. 1875 with one donut in Gawn.
    Wouldn’t say I was unhappy but I wouldn’t say I was pleased.
Feel like this will probs be my best week over the bye rounds so that’s another reason I’m not all that impressed TBH. I don’t want to go trade crazy but if the lockout would finally end, we can all start planning for next week, it is Monday after all! Get on with it.

  14. 2124/GAJ
    5/5 League wins
    SC Draft League win (10-0-1)

Had no scores below Luke Shuey (70) after Brad Crouch (46) was dropped from the starting 19 players. New recruits Steve Johnson (111) and Ben Kennedy (78) performed admirably on debut.

8 scores of 115+ helped me on the way what should be another decent overall ranking boost this week. Gibbs (119), Goldstein (117), Ablett (153), Priddis (119), Pendles (132), Cox (132), Swan (148) and Shaw (147) all impressed the coach with their efforts.

The four rookies included in my 18 players this week can all give themselves pats on the back. Thurlow (72), O’Meara (90), Macaffer (89) and Kennedy (78) all performed up to expectations.

Missed the massive scores of Mitchell (126) and Nicholls (139) due to the club’s policy of not drafting rookies before they’re on the bubble.

Finally, I just want to give a quick reminder to ‘Hawker’ that you should never go into a game against MJ expecting to get away with the win so easily. Final score: 2124 – 2044. Maybe next time buddy 🙂

Shame JJK was a late out, but oh well, I’ll take the score, I’m just terrified of what is to come in the next couple weeks!

  16. 1839 could have been better but Kennedy donut hurt and the wait on crouch was far from worth it

  17. 1895… and no I don’t understand how I’ve supposedly rolled Andy in LoEC 1 by 20 points when he has over 200 points on the pine and donuts on every line and only 17 scoring players while I have 18.

Looks like we’re all getting an education on the finer points of bye round scoring this weekend.

I’ll take 4/5 and I’ll be hoping for similar scores this coming weekend also with the planned upgrades filling in the gaps.

Very happy with Terlich and Macaffer getting sub-80 scores today to boost the numbers a bit.

  20. 5 leagues with 4 wins.

Scored 2114. The only team tgat scored more out of the 90 teams in those leagues I happen to play and lost in the SCT Legends league. Great score Matt and settingthebarlow.

Now for rounds 12 and 13

  23. 1677/17/GAJ 1/5 League wins.

Did I shoot myself in the foot having a balanced bye structure? I don’t think so. Watson, Bartel, Shuey, JPK, Robinson, Webster and Crouch all had bad scoring games. I’ve got to avoid beating myself up.

If they’d performed I could’ve pushed 2000 points, so I don’t think my overall team selections up till now have been too rotten.

Hoping I can bounce back next week….

  25. “If you have further available players in any position during these multi-bye rounds, you may set Emergencies for those positions as usual. Emergencies will continue to replace non-starting players in your Starting 22 with the usual rules, in the same position (including any ‘bye’ player that you may have left in your Starting 22) and their score will only count if it is in your Best 18.”

Then why is my Nicholls emg. for Minson not counting!!!???

  26. 2236/Ablett

Only two scores (Thurlow 72 and Macaffer 89) less than 90, so really can’t complain. One week through, still two bye weeks to negotiate!

EMG score added. Red mist receding. Urge to destroy SC HQ diminishing. Reasonable score. But there sure are some good ones out there! Should hopefully not drop in the rankings.

  30. 2131/GAJ

5/5 League wins…..including pipping RB (17 players only) in LoEC1 with a sneaky last-minute Swan inclusion, to give me 18 players for the round.

Special mention to Gazza, he’d comfortably be one of the best players I’ve seen in my 35 years of following/playing footy. Also welcome to Catta’s Clan Swan/Nicholls & Stevie J (netting me 397) in their 1st week….also Heater, Pendles, Cox, Priddis & Heppell job well done.

2 more bye rounds to tackle, personally I’m looking forward to the challenge!

  31. Who to trade in:
    Roughead (THUMBS UP)
    Franklin + $85,000 (THUMBS DOWN)

Flipping a coin on this one at the moment, can’t see Roughy’s scores changing too much (i.e. you get what you pay for, that’s why his price is so high), however I have a growing annoyance in the back of my mind when I look at my team that still doesn’t consist of the great L. Franklin, a supercoach hero in years past, at a tasty $458,400. Money is not an issue for me, so what do you think?

  36. 2092 / GAJ. 18 scoring players, lowest score of Thurlow (72) & copped JJK late out.

Happy with the 5/5 wins & finally breaking into top 10,000.

Sitting in Richmond’s spot (9th) in some high ranked leagues – 9th (LoEC1) and 70th (our SCT Cash League). Some fantastic scores in those leagues with the likes of MJ knocking up the average to very tasty levels. Would be great for LoEC1 to get #1 league spot by the end of the byes.

  38. 2171 – Brings a solid victory against Motts-whaaa in LoEC. Says a lot about the season I’m having when my 18 ‘bye’ players beat my 22 ‘non-bye’ players from last week. hhmmm….

  39. SC Draft question – should I trade buddy Franklin for Tom rockliff? Thumbs up yes thumbs down no

  40. 2134/GAJ – 2 wins from 2

Had 21 on the park until JJK decided he’d rather a nap. Not too fussed now, if it means he comes back after the bye and gives me some solid returns. Very happy with my new recruits – Gibbs, Swan and K Martin – shame I didn’t opt for Mitchell, but them’s the breaks.

This week I think I’ll be going:

Kerridge -> Mitchell (inconsistent scores are a bit concerning – thanks for the $200k though!)
Witts -> Nicholls (only as ruck back-up, but pockets a few bucks as well)
Macaffer -> Minson (Via Cox – I know Macaffer still has a bit of coin to make, but the points will be handy this coming round)

    Leaves me with:

Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Birchall, Goodes, Vlastuin (Laird, Thurlow)
Ablett, Pendlebury, Swan, Kennedy, Cotchin, Murphy, Priddis, O’Meara (Mitchell, Martin)
    Minson, Naitanui (Nicholls, Currie)
Cox, Johnson, Walker, Martin, Kennedy, Rockliff (Staker, Kennedy)

Following week I’m thinking O’Meara to Selwood, Thurlow to someone cheap and Laird to Hanley. Will leave me with 6 trades, a complete team with fairly solid bench cover, and 10 weeks of sweating on injuries.

Any glaring holes in my master plan?
