I am undicided whether to trade out JB this week, or just cover him with Watts for the time being, or maybe something different all together.

I have 8 trades and $237,900 in the bank.

- Godd, Hodge, Eski, Enright, Duff, Carrazzo, Shaw (Davis, Roberton)

- GAJ, Cooney, Murphs, Barlow, Deledio, Mitchell (Gysberts, Banner)

- Sandi, Jolly (Lobbe , Mcnamara)

- Chappy, ROK, JB, Hall, Franklin, Rockliff, Rohan (Watts, Tarrant)

Any suggestions????

Looking at your team the issue is definitely your F6 and F7. Rockliff should be F8 and coverage for any injuries (like his teammate JB). While Rohan has DPP none of your mids are so he is just a fwd in your team. Therefore Rohan, Watts and Tarrant are all expendable.

Options:
OUT: Watts – IN: RO’K
or
OUT: Rohan – IN: Riol

The Rioli trade is the one i’d make personally. Could then also do a straight swap of JB for RO’K in the second option and your fwd line is almost finished (Rockliff would be F7 not F8).

Good ideas, but i already have ROK in my forward line, so i couldn’t trade Watts for him

Very injury prone.
He can score well but it would be a risk.

hey guys, im wanting to bring in okeefe this week in my mids, but im not sure who to trade out. can anyone help me?

MIDS: Ablett, Bartel, Ball, Barlow, Judd, Martin
EMG: Bastinac and Gysberts

I can do a straight swap Bastinac for O’keefe, but i was perhaps thinking Ball? Even though i love him he’s not scoring as well as i thought, so i might get rid of him, because of his fitness concern, and okeefe is fit…

My midfield would then be:
Ablett, Bartel, Judd, O’keefe, Barlow, Martin
Bastinac
Gysberts

I could then swap Goodes, Chapman and Higgins into the midfield.

What do you think?

I could even just leave my midfield becasue i have adequate cover for now, and do a J.Brown> O’keefe swap… then i would finally have no zeros :)

I think this is a better swap.

I’d be trading Ball to two of; Swan, Penders, NDS, Hayes, Boyd or someone similar.
I’d use Bastinac & Martin to help fund the purchases & try to get Rohan on the bench as a DPP in the transaction, or else someone cheap who can come on in an emergency and give you a score.

I’m actally now thinking of:
OUT Brown
IN O’keefe

OUT Maguire
IN Hurley

Hurley wil eventually be my 7th defender once Broughton comes back, and can switch him in my fwd line with davis, and i will get okeefe, who i really want in my team this week.

What do people think of Hurley? do you think he will be a good scorer in replace of maguire?

As I said before the Brown/ROK trade is a winner.

Not sure about Hurleys avge or scores. If it is over 70 then it is good enough if you factor in his DPP.

Well hurley is averaging 68, but he scored 102 last week, and he averages 112 against hawthorn, and has scored pretty well so far in his career. As i said, he would be a 7th defender, and might be moved into the forward line if needed.

I think thats what i will do.

the only risk is that okeefe could get injured before next weeks game…i guess its a punt i have to take…

68 is fine if you think his scoring trend is on an upward swing. I think he will get plenty of opportunity b/c he is seen as a key plank for Essendon moving forward.

Cam- formerly known as Cameron June 18, 2010 at 4:29 pm

yeah i agree. I just did the trades, and now my team is:

DEF: Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Gilbee, Shaw, Hurley, Broughton (INJ) EMG Roberton, Sheppard

MID: Ablett, Bartel, Judd, Ball (INJ), Barlow, Martin EMG Bastinac, Gysberts

RUCKS: Nic-Nat and Tippett EMG LObbe and Warnock

FWD: Chapman, O’Keefe, GOodes, Franklin, Podsiadly, CLoke, Higgins (INJ) EMG DAvis (INJ), Hitchcock.

I just need Broghton, Ball, Higgins and Davis to be over their injuries, then my team is looking alright.

I will just need to upgrade Bastinac/Martin eventually, then my team might be almost complete…

I’ve downgraded Silvagni to Strijk (just got to learn how to pronounce Strijk now) and was about to pull the trigger on Trengove into Pendlebury and realised i can wait til this time next week for this as both are week two players. Assuming Pendles doesn’t go down at training i’ll be pulling that move in seven days time.

Will leave me with only D7 to solve, $81k and 6 trades.

Prepared myself for the partial lockout captaincy rort by placing Fitzpatrick who i don’t even think Dean Bailey knows exists at his footy club onto the ground and placed my current 2nd ruck in Skipper (got Hille on the inj list) as emergency. If Hodge gets 140+ tonight Fitzpatrick will captain next week!!!!!!!

I have a forward line issue: with both Brown and Monfries injured I really cant afford to keep both around. Figuring an upgrade to Betts or J Kennedy for Angus and leave Brown on the bench till finals. Any suggestions?
