  1. 2491 selwood. Stoked. Gibbs and franklin c’mon surely you could have knocked up 10 points more between you to get me over the magical line!! Nic nat I blame you as we’ll losing 7 points in the last quarter. Happy nonetheless.

  2. Oh wow that ended up horrible. On top of my Blues getting belted by the Pies and my favourite fighter Anderson Silva being dethroned earlier today, Watson getting subbed in the first quarter as captain did not help one bit. Gah.

    2222/Watson

New recruit Ryder went well but new recruit Harry Taylor not so much.
Like basically everyone else was hurt by Jobe.

  5. 2155 with Jobe Watson as my Captain. Lost me an important league match and I’ve lost top spot.

Gotta start looking for trade in options for him.

Already have Ablett, Pendles, Griffen, Cotchin, Montagna, Swan and SydMitch on the field. I’m think Danger or Barlow, maybe Sammy Mitchell. idk. I’m hanging for the round 16 to open so I can start messing around with the trades. Vlastuin also gone this week too

  6. 2270/Barlow, poor captain choice cost me, not happy…just thinking what could have been if Watson did go down and If i left Swanny captain instead of wussing out before the bounce on friday and switching to Barlow (why)
    Fuming.

happy with my decision to use mayes’ 104 over franklin, who ended up scoring 61
    duds:
    deledio 75,hibberd 79, pittard 46, gibbs 59, nic nat 79, cox 83, heppell 69

Very happy with hrovat, who scored 83 after being subbed in during the third quarter!
Also happy with Stanton, who scored 117 even though he limped for half the match

Stung by buddy, Gibbs, Heppel and hibberd.
Last minute captain change wasn’t the masterstroke I envisioned either!

fairly happy. 5/5 league wins. reckon someone might get near the 2800 with a round like this.

    not happy with:
    – jobe
    – buddy
    – nic nat
    – heppel
    – gibbs
    – o’meara
    – cox
doesn’t help leaving staker and nicholls on the bench as well.
always next week with GAJ to come back and goldy and hanley to come into the side

  10. 2550/Jack

If you had said pre-round that I would cover Ablett, S Johnson and Maric with scores of 106 (Mitchell), 85 (Macaffer) and 99 (Nicholls) then I’d have been stoked.

Naitanui, Heppell, Gibbs and Franklin all sub 80 when I would’ve expected more, but can’t really complain when you go 2500+

Beating Big Sexy in LoEC2 and scoring a free whopper soften the blow of losing Jobe early, switching Mitchell to Crouch and having Staker’s 110 on the pine.

  14. Was originally projected to score over 2500 finished with 2180
Everyone of my unique players in my main league underperformed, whilst my opponents overachieved, I got beaten by the 17th placed in my league, thanks to Gibbs, Jobe, martin, Dids, Hodge and the Hoff and of course the biggest of all Gazza, who believe it or not he doesnt have!
Not a happy camper at the moment.

    2160/Watson. 0/5 League Wins.

This is the end. Sitting at 4-9 in my main league, it looks like my season is done and dusted.

But players cannot be blamed for the defeat; I was on track for a couple of wins, a couple of closely fought matches. Jobe’s injury was something no one could’ve anticipated; a roll of the dice, a thread of fate that frayed and snapped in the wrong place; at the wrong time.

Perhaps poetically it is when Gary Ablett is missing that my team fought so hard after the low point of last week; only to fall at the final hurdle.

The rookies were brilliant as Duffield and Maric were forced to the bench. Tom Mitchell – 106, Brent Staker – 110, Brett Goodes – 111, Tom Nicholls – 99. Swan and Selwood, who had been foremost in failure last week smashed out 148 and 151 respectively, but I didn’t have the VC on either of them. Ah, what might’ve been, eh?

Shuey and Birchall made their way for Cotchin and Hanley; there was a tidy return there.

Motts will be rubbing his hands with glee; I’m up against him in LoeC1 next week. Seven losses in a row for me?

    Studs:
    Joel Selwood 151
    Dane Swan 148
    Brendon Goddard 134
    Matthew Priddis 129
    Pearce Hanley 117
    Brett Goodes 111
    Brent Staker 110
    Tom Mitchell 106
    Tom Nicholls 99

    Duds:
    Dyson Heppell 69
    Bryce Gibbs 60
    Lance Franklin 61
    Brett Deledio 75
    Nic Naitanui 79
    Dean Cox 83

Had I put the captaincy on Selwood, I’d have scored 2287 and won 2/5 leagues, including my main one. Again, a what if scenario.

I’m still not going to give up; I may be so far down on the ladder I’m on the other side of the planet, but I’ll keep trying. I don’t want the league ranking to go down on my account (any more)

Best of luck next week, Motts.

Oh, come on, stop sniggering! I’m trying to be amiable here before swords are clashed in battle.

Jobe cost me a score of 2500 and a loss in my main league by 13 although I still scored the second highest score in the comp…Too shattered to add anymore

Ellis, Vlaustin and Watson absolute killers. Almost makes Gibbs, Franklin & Heppell look not so bad. Ranking going down this week!

  18. Jobe Watson apparently missing 4 weeks now……. only 4 trades left

    T/U: Trade him
T/D: Cover him with Tommy Mitchell and Hrovat, use your trades elsewhere

  19. 2370/pendles 5/5 league wins
Pretty content considering Franklin 61 Ellis 38 Gibbs 59 hepple 69 Cox 83 Kennedy 96(I know it’s not a bad score but I expect big things against melbourne). Hopefully the ranking improves again this week after hitting 1500 last week 😀

Should have got 2550+, but Jobe ruined a ripping score for only good score. Lost another ~50 points on captaincy choice. Still won all 4 leagues.

  21. 2480 / Pendles. 5 league wins so very happy.

Nic Nat, Cox, Gibbs, Heppell, Buddy let me down, but plenty more stood up in GAJ’s absense.

SCT cash league should hopefully improve on the ranking of 64. Max top scored with 2598, but 5 scored in 2400’s, 5 in 2300’s and 3 in 2200’s, fantastic scoring considering GAJ was a late out & Watson + the 5 culprits above spudded it.

1st loss of the season in my main league and Gutted!! Buddy,Gibbs, Ellis Nic Nat and Cox what let downs but JPK unable to ton up against the Dees??? Goddard, Pendles,Swanny and Dangermouse awesome and it was welcome for Hanley. Can’t blame Watson but he gone now anyway. Thought I was a chance to move up overall this week but now not so. On a brighter note the Rolling Stones at Hyde Park last night was freaking awesome so a silver lining somewhere.

  24. 2100… chocolates to boiled lollies… Will welcome David Mundy to the side this week… Shattered over GAJ late withdrawal otherwise I was certain to have Pendles’ extra 250 points on my score… that will teach me to take my eye off the ball and enjoy a few post work drinks.

  25. 2392/Swan

Was on track for 2500+ like many others but for Jobes injury and several sub par scores!
FAIL MISERABLY: Fyfe (but blame SC scoring – 35 touches, you kidding??!!), Heppell, Gibbs, Martin, Buddy, Cox, NicNat (again), Jobe (can’t really blame him)
PASS: Cotchin, Bartel, JJK, Hanley, Shaw, Nicholls
GRAD WITH HONOURS: Swan, Goodes, Pendles, Harvey, Joelwood, Mitchell, Goddard, Priddis

Left Monfries and stakers tons on the pine!! Could have been sooo much better … oh well … now what to do about Jobe????

Wish I’d known of Ablett’s injury earlier. Probably would’ve tried loophole on Pendles. Ellis getting knocked out didn’t help. Vlastuin is struggling. And I left Staker and Nicholls on the bench. Luckily I still won 4/5 leagues, but lost main league……

Everything that could go wrong went wrong for me this weekend
10 players over 100 is not good enough 4 players went 130+ and 9 players under 80……

    Studs:
    Pendlebury
    Selwood
    Swan
    Goddard
    Priddis
Staker filling in for Stevie J

    Duds:
    Gibbs
    Franklin
    Sauce Jacobs
    Nic Nat
    Cox
    JPK

Am currently holding Terlich, Goodes and Hartlett and only 2 of them can get on my ground each week. Going to be difficult deciding which one sits on the pine each week. This week I used the loophole on Goodes and took his 111 using Thurlow only to find out today that Terlich scored 119 on my bench… lol oh well. Can’t use the loophole this week because of Thurlow playing early on Saturday.

Who should I play on the ground this week:

    T/U: Hartlett & Goodes

    T/D: Hartlett & Terlich

    Comment: Terlich & Goodes

  32. Second top 100 round ranking in the last five weeks for me. Happy with that and up to top five total points ranking in LoEC1. Hopefully can finish off strong and bring that ranking up a bit.

Oh, and MJ, keep it going!

  33. 2241 – I did the ultimate ‘Bradbury’ against the Fanatics this week as he had Watson as C…that delivered me 1 point victory in LoEC!

  35. 2424 this week, back inside the top 100 but still feeling disappointed. Traded in Watson this week and we all know how that turned out. To add salt to the wound I had told myself all week to bring in Ryan O’Keefe but chickened out in the end. Screwed myself out of 128 points, a trade, and 30k odd. Thems the breaks I guess. Will leave me with 3 trades and unable to upgrade Goodes, if he keeps knocking out tons il be a very happy camper.

    Top 100 think positive 😀

  36. guys i need some advice.

I have 460k and 6 trades left and have premiums in all positions except for
    ..T Mitchell
    ..T Nicholls
    ..B Staker

these guys are out performing some of my other premiums Buddy, martin, cox, waters, duffield etc on a regular basis.
Am I really gonna trade these guys out for other so called premiums or just let them do their thing and see what happens????
options are chapman, fyfe, heppell, s thompson, swan etc…

Dunno what to do with these guys , seems alot of mone yin the bank and on the bench!!

    Thanks

  37. Was looking at 2400+ at one point, but ended up with 2273!! Had Rockliff to cover GAJ and VC on Pendles… Then Jobe!! If only I had a crystal ball… Staker’s 110, Nicholls’ 99 & Hrovat’s 83 would’ve been very very handy if they weren’t leaving indentations on the pine!! Another 118pts I potentially could have had!! 3/5 league wins… Lost by 5pts in one!!! Ibbo, Dusty & Cox letting me down for that particular loss!! Now what to do with Jobe!!

  38. 2426/JPK

Came back to my hotel after a nice walk around the streets and museums of Florence, Italy to find SC open. Without knowing the results of either of the last two games today, I dived straight in expecting to see a figure around the 15-20th overall rank. I was anticipating a slide in the rankings due to Ellis’ red vest 38 and JPK’s relatively lousy 96 as Captain earlier in the day. To my surprise I’m welcomed with 7th!? Could not believe my luck (and others’ misfortune) when I found a host of popular rival picks (Fyfe, Ibbotson, Heppell, Hibberd & Watson) all way below par.

Now to get stuck into writing the Fallen Premiums column for this week. It’s going to have to be a good one considering Jobe looks to cause a lot of headaches!

  39. Has anyone considered trading Watson for Ryan O’Keefe for a POD.
In <2% of all teams, so less than 2,000 coaches have him.
Has a great run home, GWS, WBD, RICH and WCE in the next four.
Hardly cops the 'heavy tag' with the likes of a JPK and a Jack in the team.
Has proved consistent and good for his value of $555,000 (Ranked 13th overall)

Just an idea for those looking for a replacement, that's my two cents.
