  1. Finished with around 2550 unscaled with Pendles captain!
Disappointing finish with Priddis JJK and Cox well below their average but overall very happy!

  2. Looks like a 3 point loss in a must-win game. I’m 11th, and while I should win the last three games handily (against 3 of the bottom 4 sides) I really needed the win over the 2nd-placed side this week to give myself a decent shot at the eight.

Could’ve started Mitchell over O’Meara (my opponent loopholed them, I couldn’t), or Staker over NicNat (I figured if there’s nothing wrong with NicNat he’ll go alright and if there’s something wrong he’ll be out and Staker with the E would fill his place), or brought in Barlow over Dangerfield (the two of them were always coming in this week and next, one each week), but didn’t. Now I need three big wins and some other results to go my way.

Bum taps all around except for the Eagles boys, but hey I can’t really complain, managed 4/4 league wins too.

After the disaster with Watson last week, all I can hope is Danger’s injury isn’t too bad and that Stevie J doesn’t cop it hard at the MRP this week.

Now time to get on the Aussie boys to win the first Ashes test match!

abit dissapointed in Nic Nat, Cox, JJK and Priddis at the end there. Was projected for 2545 before the WCE game but hey I cant complain with 2460.

Managed to produce my highest score of the season thanks to Pendles, Joelwood, SJ, Hannebery, Rockcliff and quite a few more, so I couldn’t be happier. Won all 3 of my leagues and hopefully will boost up in the overall rankings.

Bit of a let down from Cox, NicNat and Gibbs this week – left Staker out for some dud games unfortunately. Chose Priddis over Mitchell which again was a bit of a mistake but I’m hoping I can move up with that score.

  8. 2511 – Big score this week, brings about a massive victory vs MJ in LoEC, whilst also doing a little favor for Catta

  10. 2509/Pendlebury 5/5 League wins.

Coming home to the smouldering ashes of last week, Victory has evicted the unwelcome guest, Defeat, sent him packing before sweeping out the dust he scattered on the patio after rebuilding the house. Victory smashed out my highest score of the year, and missed out on the highest score of all time by 4 points.

It began during the week; Watson was down and a trade was required, but without a warchest I was tossing up whether to make the extra trade for the best of the rest.

I rolled the dice on a double trade; Jobe Watson and Sam Rowe out for Scott Pendlebury and Xavier Richards.

To say that I’m happy with the trade would be an understatement. Pendlebury was brilliant on his team debut, and the vc on his dependable shoulders, my captaincy had been filled for the week.

What was amazing is why I went without him at the start of the year…

Everything went along smoothly through Saturday afternoon; Tom Nicholls was benched instead of Ivan Maric, but I could loophole his magnificent 121 in.

Saturday evening began badly. Gibbs finished with an equal team-low 69 but the Lions finished well. Zorko on 80 wasn’t the best but it was certainly better than the 3 he was on at 1/4 time. Swingman Staker and Pearce Hanley performed superbly with 111 and 105, but the biggest plaudits have to go to Tom Rockliff, who was magnificent on the ball to rack up 147.

But the games hadn’t been won yet; and I had two decisions to make on who to play: Tom Mitchell v Matthew Priddis and Dean Cox v Nic Naitanui.

I played Mitchell, and at the start it was looking to be an error of judgement, but he came home strongly to repay the faith. The other choice ended up having one point in it, but I got the point.

Slight low to end the round on, with the Fremantle win and Cox/Nic Nat held well, but overall it was a great turnaround from the last few weeks.

I’m just waiting for the bubble to burst in a shower of broken hope next week.

    Shocking:
    Dean Cox
    Bryce Gibbs
    Nic Naitanui (S)

    Servicable:
    Dayne Zorko
    Ivan Maric
    Brendon Goddard
    Matthew Priddis (E)
    Jimmy Bartel

    Standard-bearers:
    Brett Deledio
    Brent Staker
    Pearce Hanley
    Jed Lamb
    Brett Goodes
    Trent Cotchin
    Josh P Kennedy
    Dyson Heppell
    Tom Mitchell

    Superlative:
    Dane Swan
    Tom Rockliff
    Scott Pendlebury
    Joel Selwood
    Gary Ablett
    Tom Nicholls

    15 players cracked the ton.

Now I’ve got hope that my Supercoach league aspirations are: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ljFaKRTrI

Happy with the score but lost my main league by eight points. Cox and NicNat on the field and Pyke sitting on the bench cost me in the end………spewing!! Finals are nearly out of reach…….tough crowd

  14. 2453/Pendles,

5/5 league wins, also might I add 4×100’s sitting on the bench giving Buddy Franklin company! I might move up from my current 308th position, but there are a lot of great scores out there this round.

Also a special mention to my SC nemesis Bearded Burblers for beating MJ & rocketing Catta’s Clan to the top of the ladder in LoEC1….cheers buddy 😉

cant complain even though i will drop in the rankings from 7,526.
had a few shockers in the squadron that will need to lift in the coming weeks. they are: nic nat, big coxy, priddis, zork, gibbs, JJK, o’meara and bartel.
also doesn’t help with really solid scores on the bench with hrovat (84), nicholls (121), staker (110) and rowe (100).
    4/5 league wins

  16. 2353 / Pendles VC loop. Somehow got 4 wins from 5, but not one i wanted (well done Stubby’s Hero’s – Luke in SCT cash league).

Cox, Nic Nat, Priddis & JJK all let me down in final game.

Special mention to Pendles, Rockliff, Selwood, Swan, GAJ, Minson, Staker, T. Mitchell, JP Ken, Hepp & non playing Nicholls & Rowe who all tonned up. Danger playing hurt & getting to 70 was much appreciated- absolute star & future brownlow medalist.

Gibbs & Hartlett shockers, whilst need more from Goldy, Bartel & the WC four above in future weeks. Concerns over Danger, Buddy & Nic Nat (will he be rested to get right?).

Both SCT Cash League & LoEC1 had some great scores so hopefully we move up the league rankings.

loopholed nicnat and nicholls in the ruck after putting pendles as vc and currie as c. Had to play goodes b/c houli was out and that worked brilliantly. Another solid score from barlow!

Only disappointments were Gibbs(69), Kennedy(75), Bartel(80) and Dangerfield(70) although couldn’t ask for much more from him after his efforts to play on
-Using the loophole to take Nicholls score over Cox netted me an extra 51 points
-Having Swan over Pendles as vc cost me 33 points by sticking with Gaz
-On another note, Tom.Mitchell=Zorko of 2012

not a bad score helping me win 4/5 league matches. went down by 150 in SCT3 league to a team that “CANPLAYSUPERCOACH”! still a bit of a downer from a few players. gibbs, ellis, danger(who can be excused because he soldiered on from 25 when he injured himself) priddis, maric, cox, bartel, kennedy all below expected. backed prems leaving nicholls and mitchells scores on the pine but oh well. next week i sure will be better

The same let downs as most – Nic Nat, Gibbs, Cox and Griff. Pretty happy overall. Danger is forgiven, a guttsy performance.

  21. 2401/pendlebury

low scores from hartlett, gibbs, priddis, cox, JJKennedy, naitanui means it couldve been better.

anyway, ive had over 500k sitting in the bank for several weeks waiting for my midfield rookies to fatten as much as possible.
what i need to ask here is, i have crouch now at approx 340k, and will raise another 15-20k this week, and ablett might go down another 15k aswell, but its ablett, he might go for 180 and stay where he is, but i need to know do i wait another week, or do i just get it done and have him in my side and finally fix my massive mistake of not starting with him.

    T/U do it

    T/D wait one more week

should point out i will have no problems making finals in each of my leagues.
plan is to then use my leftovers to do a jacobs (via cox) to rioli for just 30-40k next week and then have a whole lot to move mitchell to beams/griffen once he gets up near the 450k mark in 2-3 weeks. if i do crouch to ablett this week, i will have about 150k to make that last move, which would be very tight to get beams/griffen, if i wait one more week, that move will be a lot easier.

  22. 2380/GAJ

Busy weekend in real life so missed options in most cases to move players swap captaincy etc. Team started out with Swan VC (still from last week – as had forgot to swap him) and then moved C onto GAJ in the early hours of Sat morning, not realising it was Joelwood’s milestone game at home … more points lost there!

Then, as was out playing sport Sat (and celebrating!) missed opportunity to E loophole in the rucks … more points lost!

Several premiums need to lift in the side as the rooks are outscoring them. Name and shame time:
Gibbs, Priddis, NicNat (3 in a row now … not good), fowards were lousy, with Bartel, Cox, Monfries (subbed for Buddy) and JJK all very poor.
Will forgive messrs Goddard and Shaw (I’m a hard coach!!)

Stand and applaud: B Goodes, T Mitchell and B Staker (even though points left on the bench)

Bow to Mr Dependeble as he leaves the ground!! (and kick myself for not using the VC on him!)

My first loss since round 7 in my main league. 3rd place to 6th place are only separated by percentage, but luckily I’m still 3rd.
Gibbsy, Cox, Nic Nat, JJK, Priddis all disappointing this week.
Would’ve been better off playing Rowe and Tommy Mitchell on the field.

  24. 2508/Pendles the score that got away.

So optimistic before Sundays matches, was hoping for 2600+ but then Priddis 86, Griffen 75, KJack 74, Cox 70, Naitanui 69, to go with Gibbs 69, oh well.

H/S this season and closing in on Top 10K for the 1st time.

What am I going to do next week pendles and gaj in the same game!
Mundy was a good inclusion this week, not so good Gibbs, Nic Nat, Cox,JJK, and left Staker on the bench, so missed out on about 40 points there

  26. Fell well short, into the 22’s. Won all 5. Am 1st in 3 of my leagues, 2nd in 1 and 4th in the last.

Despite that, I could still miss the finals in 4 of my leagues if I play this badly next 3 weeks.

Swallow and danger could hurt a lot. Looks like spuddy will get a reprieve.

  27. 2509 Pendles, my best score ever and I traded in Selwood for Watson and Steive J for Spuddy. I have only 2 trades left so need to hold them until finals.
