Hawks supporters should take a good hard look at the first quarter. The Hawks were lucky to even get back into the game let alone have a chance of winning, so when they say they should have won… I reckon they did well to get into the game, but if the Hawks had of won, it certainly wouldnt have been a game they ‘should’ have won after a 9-2 first quarter. The supporters I was sitting near were pretty average as well, closing the gap on Pies supporter…. Harsh I know.

Why were we lucky to be back in the game?
That 9-2 first quarter was followed by 9-15 over the next three. That’s a long time to be lucky. We were also 8 points up 28 minutes into the last. From there I think it’s pretty fair to say we should have been able to win the game.

Kudos to Matty Pavlich and the Dockers. A superb team effort. I knew we’d miss Glass but you compounded that so well. Our guns were dead, we had no structure and although we’re likely to play finals, we need a good deal of introspect if we are to go anywhere. The wheels have completely fallen off. Next week is a red-hot Geelong. We need to win, and win big, but most importantly, to give a red-hot crack at the contest. We were hailed as having arrived as Premiership contenders when we came within a whisker of beating Collingwood. We’ll, we’re not there. We can still win the Premiership this year, but it’s going to take a much higher standard of performance than this last month has been.
On Supercoach matters, the player I’m looking as a possible upgrade (Beau Waters), performs well while everyone I’ve got flops…
