R21 Captain

Written by Duck on August 17 2012

Last week a whopping 90% of the poll went GAJ’s way, although there were still a small number of coaches willing to try someone else.

Cyril turned out to be a poor decision for those that went that way, Danger on the other hand picked up a 187 which would have been lovely all doubled up.

So who’s it going to be this week?

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

  1. I am going GAJ. However for anyone really up against it & needing a POD captain, Dean Cox v Port’s undermanned rucks and defense could go very big.

  2. Got the week off so I might go something different and put Nic Nat or Priddis against a ruckless Port.
    Yay or Nay?

  3. GAJ has had 2 big scores at the MCG this year, Pavlich has gone BIG recently at Pattersons, and Beams is big most weeks…..I think i’ll need a POD to get over the line against my 800 ranked opponent this week….but how do you go against GAJ? I guess as i have the bye in my other 4 leagues i might roll the dice and go Pav.

  4. GAJ.

Tempted by Beams but i couldn’t handle the mental angst of cheering for a North victory while wanting Beams to go large. Too difficult.

  5. Thinking about going Pendles or Beams. Pendles averages well at Etihad but Beams will go ham and cheese against North. But every time I take the C of Gaz it comes back to bite me on the bum.
F*** this is a hard decision.

  6. Going left afield here (since I too have the week off) and will be giving the C to Goodes. He has got to hit his straps soon if the Swans want to be a force coming into the finals. Hasn’t scored under 100 against the Dogs since 2005 and that includes scores of 167, 160 & 153.

  7. All my opponents have Gary and I expect them to use him. So I’m going for Coxy as a POD – Ports record v Ruckmen this year speaks for itself.

  8. Strange options in the poll this week. Dusty, Scotland, Sidebottom but no Jobe, J.Selwood or Beams? Still GAJ for me; excellent record against the hawks (well anyone really…)

  9. I went against Gaz one week and took pendles. Gaz got about 170 points pendles about 120 so I have sworn I will never ever ever not pick Gaz as capt again.

Breaks your heart when you start thinking what score you could have had.

The others just end up being a lottery of luck.

  10. I’m sticking with Gaz as my Boss this week. He grows a leg when playing against a top side and scored 144 and 170 last year (as a Sun), avg 157 v the Dorks.

  11. DANG!

I want to go with Beams against GAJ this week to give me the POD against Roo Bloke. But the Little Master has gone under 125 all of four times this year. Hard to argue against.

Beams loves a big game though. His four biggest scores for the year have been against Adelaide, Geelong, Hawthorn & Sydney.

Bugger it – I’ve thought about it too much now. If I do it and loose at least I took a punt and put an extra edge into the match up. If I don’t do it, loose by 20 and Beams beats GAJ by 30 I’ll be shattered and missing a pair. Beamer it is!

Locked in RB. Good luck mate. Should be a cracker!

  12. Scott Thompson! V Brisbane (I am a Lions supporter) I reckon Raines might go to Dangerfield? Thoughts.
