I went with Swan rather than Pendles in the vote (not having Judd or Ablett). My thoughts are that Pendles underperformed (relative to his normal standards) against Saints across the 4 SC games last year (73, 106, 87, 87). He did dominate this year’s R11 game (149), but Saints were playing pretty bad footy then. Does Clint Jones tag Pendles usually??

thats the million dollar question Chris. Personally I’m staying away from Swan (don’t have Pendles).

Seriously?! How does Joel Selwood not make this list?

A quick snippet from the herald sun formguide, for anyone thinking about making boyd captain.
“Boyd has surprisingly struggled against the Bombers in recent times, averaging only 82 points per game from his past
six appearances. He could only manage 74 points when he last came up against them in Round 1, hitting the target
with half of his 24 disposals that day”

Currently thinking Goodesy at the G against Richmond. But might change to GAJ, Swan or Pendles … in that order.

Who can forget that famous Sunday avo some years ago at the G where he tore Tigers apart and scored something like 215 points

I’m with you guys on this. Reckon he’ll feel some redemption is in order after last week.

I like Goodes too or Buddy but that might be too risky in a final. Wouldn’t touch anyone from Friday night, won’t be anyone 110+

Ablett, Pendles, Swan or Goodes ????? hmmmmm
I think Ablett against the lions…He scored 127 half fit against St Kilda surely he could get to 140+ against lions…Thompson tore tham apart last week and this is a game in which suns would fancy themselves.
Friday night too dangerous and Goodesy too inconsistent although very tempting against the tigers

Priddis has been quite consistent, and i dont think he minds etihad! Especially against melbournes midfield who, if they did tag anyone, might be kerr

I’m thinking the same, Priddis could be a good option. I think Melbourne will fire up this week, however hopefully Priddis at his handball best could really stack up the points.

Mumford to pants the ruckless Tiges… Risky but I need to take a punt.

After reading that captain just changed.
Stevie J will have to settle for Vice (mind you I didnt make the 8 in the league that matters to me)

Ablett ( 23% ) would be in some doubt this week .

I am with you gg. I reckon Ablett just had a little rest last week to be fresh for the winable game against the Lions. From memory they played the same tactic againt the Tigers a few weeks back and it worked nicely.

Nicky Dal? Hard to fault his form and is unlikely to be tagged. Had a lazy 124 against the pies last time out when the saints were still putrid. I’d expect the big guns from both the pies and saints to score big.

Priddis thumbs up
Ablett thumbs down
only two I will consider this week.
Hot debate. What do you think?

Ablett only scored a 90 something when he returned from hamstring soreness earlier in the season, in saying that id go priddis if its HAS to be those 2.

have pendles, swan, mitchell in them mids to choose from
Goddard and fisher in the backs,
Cox in the ruck.
Franklin, goodes, okeefe, pav, fyfe in the forwards. But think most of those are a bit of a risk.

Scored 114 against Port at AAMI in round 7, and with Port’s current woes…

Tough week, think I’ll go Hodge
Ablett and Cox look risky injury choices
Goddard v the Pies
Swan – will he get the Jones tag?
Judd never backs up his big scores
Franklin/Goodes/ROK – I never pick a FWD

After being in NZ all week without much time for SC, I looked at the fixture and couldn’t go past Sammy Mitchell. Go you good thing!!!
